Finally managed to get youtube to take a few 4k clips and actually process them as 4k. Seems my issue was that the 'tube prefers 30fps at 4k, not 60. Anyhow, take a peek, give me some feedback. If anyone has anything they'd like to see me try, let me know and if I have it, I'll post it.

There is a step by step online tutorial at

http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-tcg/play-online/tutorial/

It takes it slow and teaches everything.

That tutorial....makes me feel like a 5yr old. Slow talking, assuming I know nothing, acting like I am not an adult here, I am in grade school, I own no house, or cars or have a 401k.....so sad. Its perfect! LOL.

Yes the chain still works, otherwise the stage two and three Pokemon wouldn't be usable at all.

Well that seems...incorrect. I have several Stage 2 chains that are all Leaf type or all Fire type (Basic, Stage 1 and Stage 2 all same type). Those chain work fine. I just want to know if changing type is ok (Water to Leaf to Water for instance).

Ok, so watching my children make up rules to Pokemon rather than learn the actual rules (always leading to fighting over which rules are "correct") has finally led me to the horrid conclusion that....me and my wife must learn the game to teach the kiddos the correct way to play.

All is actually going ok so far but I cannot seem to find an answer to this question (and figured why not ask here instead of a Pokémon forum filled with primarily 9yr olds that may or may not know the answer).

In an evolution chain, can you change types?

As in, I have a Basic Water type Lotad. A Stage 1 Grass type Lombre. And a Stage 2 Water type Ludicolo. This is the proper evolution chain except this chain would go from Water to Grass and back to Water.....

Would thechain work or do all of the Pokemon in an evolution chain need to be of the same type?

a wall of text and didn't bother to type the specs eh? not all people registered to newegg

4k is worthless, stupid and a waste of resources.

Gee, thats a rather blanket statement. I play on a 120" screen projected by a Sony 600ES.....4k seems to be quite useful from my point of view.

So, if I have a franchise and my bro wants to jump in and play WITH me (same team) online (no local), can he or are we back in the stone age? This is on the XB1 if it matters. Thx!

however you gotta rationalize it to yourself

I am trying to rationalize it for others. I have no issues (Cept my son stepped on my copy Super Mario World yesterday and rendered it nonfunctional).

I understand that many people use the forums (and the internet in general) for complaining because that is what makes them more comfortable. I was just lending my opinion as to why it is more of a non issue than many make it out to be. On a 70ft wide screen its gonna make a difference big enough to gripe about but at the sizes most play at (and on the TVs most play with (That 50" Vizio you got at Costco doesn't exactly bring out everything from your source material)) it just isn't nearly as big an issue as its made out to be and surely isn't worth all of this wasted time arguing about it. End of the day, is whining going to get MS to up the res? Or Sony to move to 60fps? Nope. So deal, and realize that hey, it is a very minor difference.
