The only thing more entertaining then watching MS stumble through all their ignorance and stupidity is to watch a group of people who call themselves "gamers" defend them lol.

All you MS defenders should just be thankful that there are still intelligent consumers out there that shamed MS's product so much that it actually improved, it's done more for the company than all the legion of your fanboy salad tossing combined lol.

Pay to Win? What exactly is there to win? It's a single player/co-op game.

HyperWarlock

With that logic there is no such thing as winning a game. Pay to win game, AND it's mechanically a bad game. lol

No, Pay To Win implies you are paying to become more powerful in order to beat them. There is no 'beating' them in Diablo. The game revolves around co-operation so if anything, it improves the entire group. Buying items with real money has always been common place in Diablo games, only difference is it's integrated into the game now which drastically reduces any risk of being scammed.

Also, mechanically it's the same as any other Diablo game, which were highly praised. So this means you think it's a bad game because you don't like dungeon crawlers/Diablo games.

Mechanically it is completely opposite from EVERY other action RPG out there. The combat mechanics, hit mechanics are designed from an MMO perspective. There is no dodgeing or juking out of dmg , only gearing up over it. (herp derp I wonder why RMAH and this were put in tandem). D3, As soon as an attack animation starts playing, the game has at that point decided whether the attack has landed, missed, resisted etc. Now it doesnt matter how far away you move, how you dodged , you could be halfway across the screen when the sword swipe or what have you swings over the place your body was and the hit will register. Now for a dumbass or a blizzard fanboy, i'm sure that complete butchery of the ACTION part of the RPG makes sense, but here on planet earth in the mind of a real gamer, that's an obvious push to get more RMAH revenue. Enjoy your expansion. Gamers like you are made for shit games like that =)

As for the pay to win. There is nothing more futile than trying to inform the willfully ignorant. So continue to believe whatever you want.

Seriously, forget the whole SW metagame, Gamespot is terrible for reviews nowadays, this site became popular back when the Giant Bomb guys + Greg K were around, they had great reviews, now it's Kevin V and a much of nobody trolls.

I've lost all the fvcks I had to give regarding Gamespot reviews.

Eddie-Vedder
Chris Waters is the best thing game spots got going for them IMO. That and the brits, but that may be personal bias because i like how they make words sound.

I mean ya, the game looks good, but what I'm really excited about is seeing Tom Mcshae give it a 7.0 review score because he didn't understand the story and it's lack of platforming. Then the exciting follow up piece from Carl about why it's sexist because all the main protaganists are males that shoot things and curse.

I cant wait. =)

If the price of the machine caused you to lose massive amounts of market share due to the competitors then it was overpriced. Sony and MS make the lions share of their (video game) proft off licensing , not selling the consoles. The idea is to get as many of those consoles into front rooms so that you make that much MORE off licensing.

The ps3 was indeed overpriced. The market made that clear when we saw sony lose a massive amount of install base from ps2->ps3.
