Heres the rundown, I bought a 40gig PS3 last week and watched the spiderman bluray pack-in. Then a couple days later i go to play Folklore and the system wont boot up the disk (wont even show that here is a disk inside). So to make sure the games not fuct i put in the spiderman movie and it wouldn't work this time either. I get pissed a turn it all off. Then today I think I'll give it one last chance before i box it up and take it back to bestbuy, except now everythings working. I know I should be glad that its working but now I'm just paranoid that its gonna break sometime after my 30 days.

Anyway, heres my questions:

1. Should i have payed for the warranty from bestbuy? How long is sonys manufacturers warranty?

2. Should I try and take it back anyway and try and exchange it?

3. Its all but officially confirmed that sony will announce a new 120+ gig system possibly with DS3 @ GDC in a couple of weeks ($499). Should i take my system back and wait for this new one? Im not really sure that i need that much hdd, but if its only $100 more and it comes with DS3 then it seems like a good deal. How much space do you guys use on your system and what for?

I know this is alot of info, but any opinions or advice to help put my mind at ease would be great.

i would go component or vga (different people have had different results depending on the tv)

If your tv has a vga connection it will it will probably call it a PC connection. Its easy to spot, it the (almost) rectangular blue input with a lot of little holes in it

FPSs appeal to a more mainstream crowd than RPGs (I enjoy a good FPS every once in a while myself), But the RPGs will come. (Im looking at you Fallout 3)........and some others)
