I know Cliffy has done Gears series and Unreal Tournimament. Epic also developed the most widely used engin this gen the unreal engine.

So from what I see Cliffy has far more credit unless Kojima has some major titles I do not know about.

not many people really have on a mainstream level. snake is his only recognizable hero and lets face it hes played out.

Kojima is sooooo overrated. As a story teller he relies too much on plot twists to the point where the reader expects them. As a game developer MGS4 felt VERY identical to the old games( in a bad way). Look at his freaking AI in MGS4 for example. If the games being produced are ANY indication Cliffy is a rising star and Kojima has just about had it.

Why either of those flaw laden games got a "prime" rating while the most deserving candidate of the year gets passed is anyone's guess. Ever notice how the major sites seem to be playing it safe by rating Gears 2 and Resistance 2 the same?

If Gamespot does not at least give Gears 2 GOTY their credibillity in my mind has officially died it's final death. Honestly it's easily the greatest action game I can recall ever playing.
