Not 100%, but I will be much more reluctant to invest in the next wave of hardware than I was when the current gen came around. The main reason is how poorly-built the launch SKUs of each console (save the Wii) was; I had my launch 360 break multiple times, and I regret buying the 20 gig launch PS3 (even though it still works somehow) simply because better iterations with more features became available only a couple years later at much better prices.
The second reason is that I have a huge backlog of games from this gen and the last that I still want to play through, and I know I would immediately ignore them if I got one of the new consoles at launch. I'll definitely be playing next-gen consoles, but not as soon as they release.

This is similar for me too. I bought at launch for all 3 consoles last gen and got screwed, except with the Wii. $600 was too much for a PS3, especially when the system didnt get good until a couple of years ago. I went through 5 different 360s with that stupid red light of death issue (Too bad, otherwise I would say I definately got my moneys worth on it). The Wii's good games were sometimes sparse, but at $250 and never having problems of it breaking or a "new, better, cheaper" version not coming out, then I would say it did pretty well.
I will probably get a Wii U within the first 6 months or so of launch and play backlog/retro atleast for a few years. Plus, Im older now and money is money and bills are bills. Got to draw the line somewhere.
