It's not that not anything new was announced. It's the fact that what was shown proved to be very impressive in its current form. Why are people so blind to not realize this?
Gears of War 2 seems very promising with the improved technology that powers it.
Fable 2 looks beautiful and seems to be heavily improved in many areas compared to the previous game; not to mention the co-op news which has the potential to make the game increasingly enjoyable.
Ninja Gaiden 2 looks amazing both visually and gameplay-wise. Sure, the visual improvments aren't much of a leap over NGS, but the game still looks fantastic in many areas. The new features for the game are very promising as well.
Too Human; the game that many, for so long, have expected to be all doom and gloom; in the end Silicon Knights pulled themselves together and displayed something that proved to be a vast improvement over previous presentations of the game.
Sony will most likely showcase just about the same, and I expect to be blown away in a similar fashion because I expect to see great feautures and improvements in their upcoming PS3 titles for this year.
Why is it so hard to understand that improvements in game developing are always a big plus? I was under the impression that this was what the Game Developers Conference is about :| Do I even need to mention XNA in line with this?
Fanboys..you make me wanna throw up.
