@ryuburger: The only issue is they'd have to mess with the game code in order to do that (pretty sure).
Phil mentioned that they could do a "Play so many Xbox games" for achievements, but he felt it defeated the purpose of achievements and it would feel cheap (or something along those lines).
@Thanatos2k: I honestly don't feel Cliffy B is on that same level.
And, in the defense of Molyneux (at least when he was at Lionhead) he consistently released great games (no comment on Fable: The Journey as I haven't played it), but he did have a habit of over-promising things. I don't find him disrespectful (to a point), but I did wish he'd keep his mouth shut until his game is released.
Randy Pitchford, on the other hand, could have easily made some of his reputation back easily through sincere apologies and not acting like a dimwit a majority of the time (I mean seriously, why the hell did he call out Jim Sterling in the middle of an IGN feature?). Borderlands is great, but that's about the only great thing to come out of Gearbox in recent years (that I've played, at least).
I'm not too familiar with Warren Spector, but I'll take your word for it.
Scalebound is the one that hurt the most, even more so than SWBIII... which I waited for over numerous years.
The fact I was more excited for Scalebound than Gears of War 4 (a game in my favorite gaming franchise ever) or any other game being released within the 3 years it was announced really says something......
I will never forget Scalebound..... I can't forget it. I really wish it wasn't cancelled....
@suicidesn0wman: Nah, I've noticed for a while, but I'm just surprised (I really shouldn't be) by the fact people will bag on Phil just for the fact he's at Xbox.
*sigh* I don't even know why I try to care anymore, honestly. lol
@sellingthings: It's at the point that they're practically in denial.
For fanboys that are reading, this ones for you....
IF YOU PUT A CONSOLE, OR EXCLUSIVITY OVER SOFTWARE, AS A HIGHER IMPORTANCE THAN THE ACTUAL SOFTWARE ITSELF, IF YOU ACT LIKE THIRD PARTY GAMES DON'T MATTER, AND IF YOU TREAT OTHERS DIFFERENTLY BECAUSE OF THE PLATFORM THEY PLAY ON....
It has been stated a couple of times that EA didn't feel comfortable in the idea of having another AAA shooter franchise when they already had Battlefield. They didn't see it as something to actually invest in, so MS helped fund the game alongside EA, thus why the game ended up being exclusive.
In all honesty though, I'm glad it went multiplat. More gamers = more fanfare = more fellow TF fans.
