i think the Blitz was the blitzkrieg against birtain which was supposed to initate operation sea lion (im not sure right now, im trying to pull this stuff from my memory). anyway, this was Germany's first loss in WW2.

no blitz come from Blitzkreig which means lightning war and was the idea of using modern military weapons and tactics like tanks and armored vehicles it was used to great success against a large number of european countries

That didn't flop...They lost the war, but the blitzkrieg was successful for Poland and France.

the blitz was a flop though right? didnt it include the battle of britain where the smaller british royal air force(i think thats their name) beat the german luffwafte (sorry for spelling)

I'm not completely sure, but I'm pretty sure the blitzkreig only entailed the 'opening' attacks on Poland and France.

it also included attacks on Belgium and a few other countries and yes it was incredibly effective

Very soon I will be applying to many various college. I wanted to know, how important are clubs,sports and other extraciricular activites on college applications? I mean I have good grades, a 4.00 GPA, and I have taken one AP course. I plan on majoring in Computer Science and going to Virginia Tech. Although I don't take any clubs or anything.

They're not very important at all I got into both schools I applied to and had almost no clubs and no sports, also I must say I hate you, Virginia tech sucks, GO NOLES!!!
