I think Mercs 2 may have MORE destructible environments than BF:BC. In Mercs 2, you can actually take all buildings down I believe (foundations and all).
I really don't understand what you're saying about having heard this game was awesome; most people bash it. Because of peoples' negative opinions of it, I went into playing Assassins Creed with comparatively low hopes, but was pleasantly surprised.
Sure this game is repetetive, but I really enjoyed it, so I'm willing to overlook this personally.
I guess none of us will really know whether this game is repetetive or not until it's released. Personally, I think it will be quite varied though. Sure many of the objective concern sabotaging/destroying something, but the complete freedom you have over how to complete each objective will add the variation I think. You can go in guns blazing, you can go in stealthily, or you can go in using vehicles and improvised explosives - it's up to you. Also, the AI seems pretty strong, and pretty good in reacting to different situations.
Gaming is a hobby... I didn't realise something had to be sacraficed to enjoy it. I play games frequently; usually everyday, and yet I still have a social life ect... To me it sounds like the Topic poster is an addict (World of Warcraft anyone?).
I try to avoid single player whenever possible, but in the abscence of multi player I will play single player, E.G. Bioshock.
But games like R6V2, I didnt even play campaign once lol just straight into multi player :D Only good single player games there are is GTAIV, Bioshock, Lost odyssey, Oblivion, IMO.

No u are wrong. Just play Rock Band online. Half of the ppl i played with they left ranked match because they can't play the song or they left in the end because they were losing. I mean...WTF?!? And if sb has more important thing to do then he shouldn't join matches and then leave, ruining other ppls game.
The amount of people that quit Rock Band Ranked matches because they just plain suck at the game is phenominal.
