I think it's safe to say that TC is being sardonic. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

*concedes* Gandalf would win. Took a good 20 minute discussion with a LOTR enthusiast, but ultimately Gandalf did beat that Balrog fair and square, and with the added fact of Gandalf being a "Maia" (Apparently something that cannot stay dead for very long), it's not really a fair fight at all.

[QUOTE="LadyUnderverse"]well, dumbledore can teleport, whereas gandalf cannot, so...Xx_Hopeless_xX

Gandalf killed a flaming demon...

gandalf had a flaming demon in a position that was clearly to gandalfs advantage. He actually fled from the demon pretty much the whole way, in case you didn't notice.

I know this writer chick who's influenced by the likes of edgar allen poe, burroughs, bukowski, etc. (the real self-destructive type) and its almost as if she brags about the mental disorders she has and the amount of medication she has to take everyday. She thinks she has to be messed up to create great art. Though I do think there is a link between madness and creativity, its like having something wrong with you has become its own chic nowadays and thats lame. I mean, I'm ****ed up, but I dont want to be or chose to be, and I'm certainly not gonna brag about it.Boogie_J

Well, she is as mad as a hatter and drugged up on meds, so her doing something as seemingly absurd as bragging about it, is hardly a behaviour you can compare with your own rationale, judging her behaviour upon that of yours.

If it feels lame to you, well - be thankful that you're not crazy in a way that prevents you from deducing why it's lame and take joy in that fact the next time she decides to flaunt her illnesses at you.

For clarification, I am not talking about people specifically, think broader, like all matter and energy.

Still don't see why one really would believe in such a thing.

They're some of the easiest listens in my experience. :) And KSE are not terrible, if they were, they wouldn't have such a huge and dedicated fanbase. Opeth is in fact good yes, but "awesome" belongs to Cynic, sorry.

Someone help me! I swore this type of music off as devil worshipping nosense and now my friend is listening to a song that I actually like! What to do? :P

listen to some entry-level metal! Opeth or Killswitch Engage, they're both reasonable easy on the ears for someone relatively unfamiliar with metal, and see if it grows on you. :)
