I suggest *building a desktop*, instead.Threesixtyci

I seriously hate comments like that.

I understand that by price to price, desktops are superior than laptops, but there are people who need laptops for work, study, travel, etc. For example, stuff BESIDES gaming.

Edit: To answer OPs question, I would recommend RTSs since those aren't usually available on consoles. Try Starcraft 2, Company of Heroes, Empire: Total War, etc. They'll give you hours and hours of gameplay, and should be a new experience for console players. Also, I would recommend getting TF2 just because it's vastly superior than the console version.

I was raised a Christian, but I'm moving more towards a Deist recently. I won't ever go atheist or agnostic as I'm convinced in the existence of a higher power, but not exactly on which one or if we even know him/her/it for that matter.

Dunno, what it could be. Becoming socially recluse is generally a major symptom of depression, but it could just be that he like video games and anime more.

This has to be taken out of context. It doesn't even make sense. :P

There is a general misinterpretation of the Separation of Church and State...what the Amendement means is that the Federal Government cannot force any one religion upon the people.

To be even more specific, it's that the federal government cannot mandate the state governments to force a particular religion. This is because, during the late 18th century to early 19th century, many states did have official religions and often recquired one to be a Christian to vote. But, of course, the 14th amendment with the incorporation clause extended the rights of the Constitution to all citizens of the US, so that factoid is pretty much irrelevent now.

I don't think the problem is primarily with the disciplining kids who are at an early age (although it is still pretty important).

The problem is with adults doing nothing when the kid reaches their teenage years. They do nothing when the kid texts while driving, drinks to the point of drunkenness, do drugs, fail at school, etc. This is, imo, the critical point in a kid's life as they're just entering adulthood. If parents fail to discipline kids during that age range, they'll never be able correct it.

The "meh" score is not surprising to be honest. Obsidian hasn't really put out any high end AAA titles, and their most recent game, Alpha Protocol, pretty much bombed financially and critically. I think it's reasonable to expect an average, but not that great game from them.

My opinion about Medal of Honor is that it would have been a great game a year and half ago (right around MW2). Now, while it's still a solid game, it seems like a weird fusion of BC2 and MW2.

We all expected Modern Warfare 2 to be the best game yet, in which it was.RCNReviews
An unbelievably short campaign, no mod support, no dedicated servers, only 16 players per map, only P2P online, overpriced map packs, an overpriced game, almost no updates on gameplay, almost no effort to stop cheaters... Seriously, MW2 is probably the supreme candidate for the crappiest game made from a big budget, like how the movie 2012 was. Sure, the made big bucks and had pretty CG, but you'd have to be insane to think it was the greatest movie ever. Same parallel for MW2.

Well I think I want to become a video game level designer, but I just found out you only make about 40K a year to start out with. Is that enough to live comfortably?

Also if anyone knows any good schools where you can learn to develop games as a team or something like that, please let me know. :)

An easy way to gauge how you'll live comfortably is by comparing that 40,000 per year to what your parents make. I say this because a lot of people have different definitions of comfortable, largely depending on their lifestyles as a child.
