the gameplay mechanics are simple. i felt, thugh, that the pistol was more effective than the rifle. The game looks gorgeous. Did anybody notice how drake is completely soked after rollig in the water? The combos are fun and I hope there is a bit a depth to it.

if the 40gb doesn't come w/ an ethernet cable you can always buy it at wal-mart, target, best buy, etc.

if you really don't care about the BC for PS2 games and the removal of SD card readers than go with the 40gb. Frankly I have the 60, which has the SD card reader and I never use it 'cuz I can just plug in my jump drives to one of the usb ports. 40gb may go by quickly but you can always replace it with a 120gb 2.5" SATA HDD. you can find them on ebay or other sites for about $100 or so, but you have to look for a while

my PS3 has forzen on me 3x when trying to stream movies through Tversity. But aside from that it has worked great. I still think though that as good as the machine is, it does lack in games.. now. but it will get better. My question is, is the durability factored into someone's purchase or do we not care as long as it has games?

In the past several months the topic on console durability has been circulating. The biggest news to arise from it all was MS and their console warranty extension due to the "three red lights."Since this is a PS3 forum I'm not going to focus on the 360's issues but rather ask about issues on the PS3 and its durability. On the Sony Blog an article was written touting the PS3's "well-built" architecture by referring to another article at ps3vault.In all honesty I want to hear from others on this.Is this a point in argument for purchasing such machine?Does one overlook a flaw in longevity of a console due to its gaming catalog?Do you think that the test made by the people at ps3vault was somewhat extreme (did it serve a purpose, or was it as meaningless as the announcement of a Halo branded 360)?

does anyone know which 4GB memory stick pro duo gives a better performance?  something tells me the Sony RGB MSX M4GS is slower than the Sandisk SDMSPD-4096-A10.   And is there a real difference between the 4GB Sandisk Gaming memory stick and the regular 4GB Sandisk Memeory stick?

does anyone know why games like syphon filter require you to upgrade to firmware 6.0 and such?  does it have to do with the flash upgrade?  and another question is.. do you think thiese upgrades will help games look even better in the future?

since sony seems to be changing things at the last minute now, they better tell devs to keep vibration in mind just in case they decide to throw a new contorller w/ vibrating functions in it.
