Dear Retailers

Due to the decline of PC games on your shelves and lack of adventure games altogether, I will now be buying my adventure games on the internet.  The following series - which are the only games you carry that are also of interest to me - I will still buy in a retail store:

- Nancy Drew
- Agatha Christie
- The Sims 2 expansions

For everything else, I will now go to an online specialty store to make my purchase.  You've made your choice to expand your collection so that it eliminates PC adventure games and I've made my choice to stop wasting my time browsing in stores that do not carry what I want.

Perhaps your sales clerks would not be so bored if they had customers to wait on, but when you drive the customers away, empty stores are what gets left behind.

Whoohoo!

My banner now uploads to my account!  I wonder if that's because I disabled my firewall this time or if it's because I'm now at level 7?  I don't really care - I'm just happy it shows!

TAC: Why must you rename my games?

"As the fourth installment of the Broken Sword franchise, ‘Broken Sword: The Angel of Death’ has been renamed to better appeal to the North American adventure gaming market, and to reflect the mystery at the heart of the adventure – the Ark of the Covenant."

Yeah, we can't handle anything with "death" in the title.  Ooh la la!

The original title sounded better & more intriguing.  People might think this one is a Bible story.  Well, maybe it is, but I'm getting flashbacks to watching Raiders of the Lost Ark when I think of this game; however, that is OK with me.  Now I must hum the Indiana Jones theme music to make myself feel better.

Final Fantasy X

I don't know much about the Final Fantasy series, other than they seem to be well-liked among gamers.  I've seen Yuna's outfits from X and X-2 created for The Sims 2, but haven't had any exposure to the games themselves.  With the release of the PS3, I'm looking to build up my games collection, being that PS2 games will eventually be getting phased out (and on sale), so I bought X and X-2 a couple weeks ago and have XII on my Christmas list.

I started up FFX last night and have one - and only one - comment: Tidus looks like a woman trapped in a man's body.

There, I said it! :P
