Must admit i have mixed feelings after playing the dmg. No doubt that i was highly entertained by it and that it looks to be a great game. But that "CoD linear gameplay" just looms over the whole CoD history, including this one and it just gives me a sour taste each time i think about it. To me it seems that Infinity Ward forgot the players ability to choose his way around and just plainly focused on eye candy, intesity and arcade gameplay. Also, some of the animations are downright crappy, for instance, look at the choppers firering positions and turn circles. Call me a perfectionist, realist, whatever, i'd just expect some better physics on such small details which in the end can improve the feel of the game by unmeasured lenghts.
I wonder why EA and Crytek put up CLOSED OFF beta boards that only approved beta testers could access after getting the password. I mean, you got gamespot boards and IGN!, why waste time on putting the flag in the ground signaling "FOCAL POINT FOR BETA INFO" when people are STILL gonna dance around it?
Deus Ex or Total Annihilation would probably catch my "best game of all time" vote. But Operation Flashpoint also had me sitting up late some nights ;)
