I was going to buy a pc but figured that building it my self would be better.any way i picked out the parts i want to buy and i just need some people with pc hardware experience to look at my build and tell me if iam over spending, can get better parts, if its all compatible and answer some questions i have. this is what i picked out with help from other people.

CASE: Apevia X jupiter G-type full tower

HDD: western Digital caviar RE 320GB SATA 3.0Gb/s

RAM: G.Skill 2GB DDR2 SDRAM 800

MB: ABIT IP35 Pro LGA775 intel P35 ATX

CPU: Core2Quad Q6600 2.4GHz GDDR3 PCIe 2.0

CPU FAN: ZALMAN CNPS9500 92mm 2 ball cooling fan with heatsink

I plan on taking my 160GB PATA HDD, monitor ,and CD and DVD drives from my current PC. I know i wouldnt be able to have a raid set up but would i be able to just have my PATA and SATA HDD on my PC as seperate HDD's.my PATA has winxp home OEM and a lot of data on it, would i have to reformat or do anything to it. BTW my selected MB only has one IDE/PATA connector and my two CD/DVD drives are PATA format so how would i install them?(I havent looked in side my pc in a long time so if there connected to a different place can some one tell me) The one real question i have about the 8800 gt is that at newegg.com theres one that seems to be the same as this card but not "superclocked" and is $30 cheaper, and the only other thing i can find different is that the coreclock is 600MHz, memoryclock is 1800MHz and the superclock is 650MHz and 1900MHz. couldn't i just OC the cheaper one to match the superclock? last question:the zalman CPU fan had a lot of great reviews and is $48.99 but is there better for the same or lower price? well thats it Iam really eager to get my new PC, Ive been stuck with a crappy P4 1.86 GHz and TNT2 for soooo long.
