been a long time since i've been on this forum as i lost intrest in computers and computer games for a while

but i can feel that my computer is starting to show its age on some new games

right now, i have a Q6600 and a ATI 4870

i just wanna upgrade my GPU for now, willing to spend around 250$ on a new one

i've been wanting to go back to nVidia for a while, since all my other cards were nvidia and this was my first ATI card

im open to suggestions on wat GPU to get, but this is only temporary as i'll build a completely new computer start of next year as then i'll be done with school (im in year 12 now)

also, i havent been keeping up with the latest graphics cards, but from what i've read, GTX560TI seems to fit my needs
or a ATI 6950 1GB
i've looked up some reviews, and i play mostly FPS and some League of Legends and my native is 1680x1050

its either a Gigabyte GTX560 Overclocked (830/4008) for $210
or Saphite 6950 1GB for $230
or HIS 6950 1GB (800/5000) for $240
or Asus GTX560Ti (830/4000) for $255
or Asus GTX560Ti (925/4200) for $260

my friend told me that changing the setting in my sound/audio setting, in the hardware acceleration from High to Low would make my games not crash, and it actually works

but now when i open itunes to play my music, the sounds distorted, like when u have a corrupted MP3 file, the sound kinda cuts off and on again, like every 5 seconds

and changed the settings back to default and tried all the other settings, but its still happens, but not ingame, only when playing music on itunes, wats wrong??

and i dont wanna reinstall itunes, cause all my play lists are gone, i dont wanna organise my music again

and its not just one songs, its ALL my songs, ALL freakin 5200 of them, far out
