Well, Sony and Microsoft will want to extend the life of their console as long as they can. This means to me that certain developers will look to the PC as a platform for more creative ventures, while the consoles will still be limited to the same features they had years ago.

[QUOTE="NLahren"]good decission, since it is cheaperPanther023
Yeah, why are most PC games cheaper?

PC Games are cheaper as developers do not have to pay licensing fees to the console manufacturers.

I was thinking of buying a PS3 for exclusive games. The console is $1000.00 and each game costs around $130.00. Is it worth the price?

I think the greatest gaming configuration one can have is a good PC + PS3. If you have the money and gaming is your biggest hobby, I say go for it.

I knew from the beginning you were going to buy it. There's no wavering in the middle, you either refuse or do not wish to buy the game, or you give in or wished to buy the game in the first place. Your initial question was a trivial one anyway. "Is this Worth?" is an entirely subjective question. Make your own mind up without leaving the snotty members of this forum (including me) to sulk over one more person fallen peril to the machine. :P

I'm a relatively young PC Gamer and I've recently sent off for a copy. I plan to play the mod after it too. As for the people popping up and saying it's overrated, you'll be treated more kindly by the Deus Ex fans here if you justify your claim.

My opinion is that there exists, on the second page of the Off Topic Discussion forum, a thread that deals with precisely this topic. Perhaps you should share you contributions in said pre-existing topic rather than making a new one? You can find it here.

I guess you have a tenuous understanding of free speech yourself. Do not participate if you feel this is unnecessary repetition, you just "bumped" my thread. I do not need to be told there is a pre-existing discussion on this thanks. Perhaps I wanted to steer this topic into more intellectual ground. Clearly the other thread is rather vague and garrulous.

Proposition: the view that there are certain odious words which offend when uttered, is antiquated and unnecessary.

I breach this subject upon being censored on these forums. Now, my qualms are not with the rules and standards of this forum but with rather, a latent consensus that profanity is harmful. I'm envious of Americans in that they have a defined constitution, one facet of which is glorious free speech. Whom may stifle my free speech so it is harmonious with them?

'Profanity is a matter of superstition. The idea that there are certain sequences of sounds which, if said, will make everybody very uncomfortable for reasons that they can't quite explain is a very primitive notion.'

Their designation is totally arbitrary, they even change over time! The words themselves do not make discourse hateful or distasteful. Perhaps we should view the context of words spoken rather than their content. Even if we take the simple context of expression of anger; isn't it quite profound that we can express this anger in such an accessible way? Does one still accept that these words have no use?
And once we prescribe this stigma to certain words, we fetter them to a fate of forever-association with the profane. One use of profanity is expression and profanity is just means of expression if we take away profanity there still exists the desire to express. Then will we not just move to other methods of expression that will then be identified negatively?

What are your views on profanity? What are the reasons for your stance? Discuss.
