[QUOTE="LesFinalFantasy"][QUOTE="Verge_6"]1) Play newly-bought games the instant you place them into the disk tray
2) Not require tune-ups
3) Not require opening the case up and spending FIVE GODDAMN HOURS trying to find out what piece of hardware is causing your newly-bought 8800GTS to overheat.

You ARE aware a GPU can function under 90c right? Do the math Mr. Wiz. That's 194 degrees F. I highly doubt your video card will get THAT hot. If it does, consider a house fire being the next surprise.
You use yours, amongst other's stupidity as a method of valid excuses. Too bad they're not even close or legit.
 Wow, accusing other people of stupidity with a post like this.
Sure, it'll function. Too bad there seem to be symptoms of OVERHEATING (see; texture tearing) in my, according to you, perfectyl fine GPU.
You ARE aware that there are devices that automatically shut down the computer when EVERYTHING gets hot? Believe it or not, things that get hot tend to make the things around them, get this...get hot as well. This applies to things like, say, graphics cards as well. Isn't that fascinating? Truly, it is a wonder of this world.
Why don't we tone down the hostility as well, Mr. Grumpypants.
Ohh, and there's that 1% chance your car will over heat today ( if you even have a car)
What you're discussing is STUPID. Properly functioning hardware doesn't exceed 60c on CPU and 90c on GPU. Ram + mobo and anything else doesn't generate enough heat..unless it's high end, but if you have highend equipment, you're not a complete NOOB who doesn't know how to add a fan or two to keep it under control.
