Well I hear the 3d effect actually enhances the gameplay.

charizard1605

Where did you hear that? The 3D effect looks good in racers, but it doesn't enhance the gameplay as far as I know.

I dont remember where I heard it, I just remember something about th 3d being at its best in racing games. I could be wrong though.

Calling cheap=complaining.

Don't ever say Hakumen does mediocre damage, that is just wrong.

And I was obviously exaggerating.

Never the less, it still doesn't make her cheap. Almost everyone else can pretty much do similar things to her in a damage/meter build sense just maybe not as well.

Cheap is X-Factor Storm killing a full HP character through chip damage with a couple of supers.

And with that being said, wouldn't characters with extremely good mixup and/or pressure with also similar damage out put (Litchi/Valk) be even cheaper?

OneSanitarium

I didn't call her cheap, I said maybe. I just figured that since she is at the top of the tier list she would naturally be the closest to being cheap. I've come to the conclusion that she isn't though. I wish I could say Hakumen did great damage (I mean look at him!), if you know a video where he is getting good damage please link I could learn something. I'm not sure if I'm ready to call Litchi or Valk cheap yet. I just think there are worst threats like Hazama, Noel, and tao. I do think Valk is the most dangerous out of the 2 though.

I asked you what characters were cheap, and you said her.

As for Hakumen, look up either combos (combo videos or from dustloop) or look at match videos. As far as I can tell, he does really good damage.

I wouldn't say anything is cheap in Blazblue, unless you count certain matchups.

I.e. Tager vs Everyone else. Tager is so bad.

lol I clearly said Arakune was cheap (proven wrong) and maybe makoto. and yeah tager is bad. iirc his worst matchup this time is Mu this time.

Then why not complain about Valkenhayn?

Meter building, full screen carry combos with one of the best mixups in the game.

Or Litchi?

Another with one of the best mixups in the game that has damn near kill combos and god like pressure.

Or Carl?

Unblockables, Semi-infinites, being able to move while supers are going on.

Or Hakumen?

He does lots of damage, has counters for everything, and is very mobile in the air. That must be broken, right?

What about Platinum?

Her bubbles give free combos if you get hit by one.

OneSanitarium

lol You misunderstand. Complain? Who is complaining? but if you insist, Valkenhayn can have meter gain full screen carry combos and one of the best mixups, that alone doesn't make him broken. Everyone has near kill combos, but are for the most part impractical. Carl can be cheap with that. Hakumen unfortunately does mediocre damage in cs2. lol platinum. Makoto has the best consistent damage in the game midscreen or in the corner and the best risk/reward in the game, all on top of having great meter building, full screen carry combos, excellent rushdown, and having some of the best mixups. See the differences?

I disagree, she may not be cheap but, she's almost there.

Well she starts off meterless and earns 50 for the dd at the end.

OneSanitarium

It still doesn't mean shes cheap. She isn't the only character who can do that, and we don't know how practical the combo is.

Honestly, everyone at least gets decent damage in cs2. I don't think I'd call her a cheap character because she actually has competition from multple characters. Like I said before I was just unsure because of how consistent/good her damage is. Most of what was done in that video is practical.

I meant like examples.

Like what characters and attacks are cheap?

Nu in BB I'm not going to count. She was balanced out in CS2, and CT is (obvoiusly) an older and obsolete game.

siLVURcross

Ok for current games I'd say Arakune(maybe makoto), Snake, and Yun (also oni and evil ryu if you want to count them in). Arakune has some 100% recurse thing that just wrecks everything. Snake has disjointed hit boxes on his up and forward tilt, the range is ridiculus. and Yun.... well honestly I haven't played as yun yet, no AE. I have seen videos though and I gotta tell ya, it aint pretty. ... Wolverine and his dive kick .....Oh and phoenix, though that one should be self explanitory. of course this is just based off what I've played and seen in streams and youtube videos.

Arakune is low tier. His entire game is based around cursing and most characters have stuff that prevents him for doing anything. I wouldn't call Makoto cheap, her combos are just alll purpose that do damage and corner carry.

Can't comment on SSB characters.

I don't count E.Ryu and Oni. Oni may be strong, but all of his combos leave yoru opponent too far away to really continue pressure, meaning you have to get in again and again.

Obviously something wrong with Yun, but Ono designed the game that way, and is going to rebalance it. Besides, not like hes the end all of everything. Other characters give the twins trouble, and I think the only Yun that has won a tourney is Daigo.

I don't really care for the balance of MvC3 since everyone is cheap and BS, and Wolverine and Phoenix are getting hit with nerfs in UMvC3. But still, most characters in that game are pretty broken to begin with.

Huh? Arakune is low now? I've been gone too long. I don't know about makoto not having cheap stuff, she's really good (8k no meter is not the beef you want). The only bad thing about her is her range (maybe her air to ground), but even with barrier blocking she still gets in. Her damage is stupid good and she has amazing corner carry. I'm not saying she doesn't have to work for her wins, but her damage is consistently highter than everyone else. I don't know too much about the other games (besides smash).
