I think the 3ds is overpriced at $250 and should be $200. The vita is priced okay but, anything over $250 for a dedicated gaming handheld is a rip.

By competitve gaming do you mean have games that are at big tournaments like Evo? If so I'd have to say no. But, if games that come out for it that are also on consoles and plays like them, then you could probably use it for practice (Like SSF4 on 3ds). I can see call of duty being like this.
I'd take pokemon (hell even digimon) and turn it into MMO or Strategy (similar to FF:Tactics for ps1)
I think it's pretty good when done right. I don't know about other systems but, to me it seems like the 3d works alot better in slower games.
The answer is not that hard. I'm sure you can figure out why someone would choose a 3DS over the Vita. :]Because they're Nintendo fanboys that will blindly buy whatever Nintendo comes out with despite the competition being vastly superior in every imaginable way? Yeah, I get that reason. I mean a real reason. Better hardware. Better games. Same price. Only the most blind of Nintendo fanboys would get a 3DS instead of Vita. At launch the Vita will have a library of games rivalling the entire 3DS library up to that point. As time goes on the gap between the amount of quality games will only widen. When Vita comes out the 3DS will have been out for about 8 months. Vita will have as many good games on day one than 3DS has managed to get in its entire 8 or so months on the market. Now imagine the Vita library 8 months from then. Vita will have a better library than 3DS.[QUOTE="timmy00"]

For the people saying Mario or other first party Nintendo games will make 3DS beat Vita, are you being serious? I mean really? Didn't exactly help the N64 and GC. And besides, Vita has a ton of great and popular games too. You say Mario is a system seller. What do you think is going to happen when COD makes its debut on Vita? A fully featured online enabled COD, probably with cross platform play with a PS3 COD. The masses will flock to that far quicker than they will for a new Mario. Especially a 3D one, and we all know 3D Mario doesn't begin to touch the sales of 2D Mario. Plus Vita will have better games in general anyway. At the same price as the 3DS, why anyone would get a 3DS instead of Vita is beyond me.

ah I see, so you know the future...
At the very least it isn't easily portable compared to the competition. I don't think this is a bad thing though because Sony put a lot of stuff in the Psv. Sure it's a bit bigger, but it's capable of offering a unique experience in the world of handhelds. Some might even say a superior experience. Either way, it will be a good alternative to what's already out.
Yeah I know. I just can't help but think that once it's out, it won't look much better than Ninja Gaiden ds. It's on the next system so it should look far superior. To be honest I would rather have another Shinobi game with Hotsuma.
