Theat Antec twelve hundred case is a joke. Get THIS, more room, just about the same cooling, half the price. chandlerr_360

1. That's a mid-tower case.
2. I've already found a competitive price for the Antec Twelve Hundred case: $168.
3. Did ANYONE read the note for the case? It's not getting replaced!

I don't see any reason why the CPU *alone* should be half the budget.

firstly get 4870 sisne it comes out soon and from benchmarks ect looks to be cheap and good.

CPU=GOOD

MOTHERBOARD= avg, id get a x38 asus sisne it very much so reliable when used with intell CPU, also means in furture can crossfire ATI card.

PSU= ok, but id get coolmaster 700w they much queiter and less heat i found.

RAM= seems fine, but didnt say how fast it is?? OCZ are good, but pray you dont have problems or their custemer service is pretty bad at times.

antec case, is good though personal choice id get a silvertonetj107:)

you got any ideas on cooling? id get different fans from stock case ones, and get a sycth zinpang CPU heatsink+fan

shadowcreaper

What do you think of this motherboard? My RAM is fine, it's been working great since I've had it. It runs at 800MHz at 5-5-5-15 timings I think. And how about this PSU?

[QUOTE="death1505921"]

[QUOTE="f-a-d-3"]760i Motherboard - iNtel Core 2 Emtreme 3.2GHz - DDR3 8GB Ram - Quad Sli Geforce 280 GTX (4X) 4TB HDD 1100W PSUf-a-d-3

*Sigh*, you're just randomly putting out high end parts arn't you? You can only tri SLI 280 GTXs. Also as far as I am aware theres no such thing as 760i motherboards.

Lol you got me. I wish I had thoes spec tho I bet it will come across well beyond $3000 no?

Well, that's about $1950 on graphics cards alone. Adding the CPU will probably take you past $3000.

And the 4870 is supposed to come out this week, yes? I suppose I can hold out on it and look at some benches and such.

X38/X48 give 16x speed on both pci-express lanes, p35/p45 gives 16x/4x speeds. As for a good model, read the comments and search for reviews.

Personally i'd just get a single hd4870, lower power consumption and less heat than crossfire.

Thanks for the link, but are there any specific boards you'd recommend?I'd like for the price to stay around 200, but if I get enough good features, then I might consider paying more.

That case is way too expensive. I recommend the Antec 300 or Coolermaster C690. With the money saved, you can buy an X38 or X48 motherboard for better crossfire. Also, i'd take a Corsair power supply over OCZ.

Edit: Diamond offers only 1 year warranty. Get an Asus (3 years), Sapphire (2 years) or Visiontek (lifetime limited).

Link to a good X38 or X48 motherboard and Corsair power supply?
