Mass Effect is Bioware's Quiet Successor to MDK 2, their first major game. They are combining the improvements from recent story orientated Bioware RPG's and combining them with MDK typegameplay only with a radically more epic presentation, even the Fall To Earth introduction has been upgraded into the ATV sequence in Mass Effect.

Mass Effect takes itself more seriously than most Bioware Games, but a lot of the gameplay is akkin to to MDK 2.

But for the first time in that video, the combat actually seemed good in Mass Effect.

I'm not bashing the game. I'm bashing the use of bad, over the top acting in all of Nintendo's commercials. They can't seem to advertise a game without spending half the time flaunting the Wiimote. I want to get pumped for the game they're trying to sell, not watch a bunch of bad actors look ridiculous while playing it.

Your missing the point of why it's played in that way. The video is just showing that to people.

No, Fallout is much better.

Those reviews where written by critics. They have to consider non-important aspects that people often complain about such as overall commercialism. Oblivion has lots of it and scored really well for it, but Fallout is the better RPG.

A PS2 game? seriously?

Look at this and tell me the Wii isn't the revolution Nintendo hyped. Some of Nintendo's new shaders are really next gen the glass and plastic sphere shaders in particular are amazing, and it has the control wand to go with it.
