My Triumphant (yet superficial) Return

It's been approximately 2 years since I was last active on GS, but with the school holidays and the recent acquisition of a Nintendo Wii (along with the highly-anticipated Super Smash Bros Brawl) I thought it would be an ideal time to make somewhat of a return.

This isn't a complete return as this being my final year of schooling I don't want to over-commit myself and in saying that I won't re-assume any union/board duties as of yet.

In closing, if anyone still comes by here *hears tumbleweed* leave your Brawl friend code and add mine.

Computer Upgrade!

I've been quite inactive lately and there is a reason behind that. My main computer is in the process of being upgraded so until I get it back I probably won't be on Gamespot.

Anyway, hope to catch up soon!

Short Blog, play Zelda I must!

After 3 years it's finally here. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Gamecube. Yeah so I didn't get the Wii version but I believe this version can be just be as enjoyable. It'll be interesting how GS scores this version especially because Jeff complained about the "tacked on" controls.

And I'll leave it at that. I've got a game to play tonight!

Wi-Fi Friend Codes

I've always talked about getting them up, so finally here they are! Add me!

Return to Gamespot!!!

Well it's been a while, but I'm finally returning to GS after several months...

I've had my Computer reformatted quite a few times (initially because of viruses, but then my hardware started playing up). And in a couple of weeks this computer will be passed down to my sister and I will be getting a BETTER one. So I will retain a high level of activeness throughout the holidays.

Unfortunately I had to choose between this or getting a Wii (:x I still don't favour that name...) but I thought I would be able to hold off getting a Wii until my birthday (March 07). Also I've been sick of constant lag in just about all of my PC games (now I'll be able to play Oblivion at a speed that won't drive me insane!) , so I thought this would be a great opportunity to embrace PC gaming these holidays.

Heres what I'm planning to get:

Battlefield 2142 (PC)

Half-Life 2 (PC)

Warhammer: Dark Crusade (PC)

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC) Preordered :P

Yoshi's Island 2 (DS)

NEW Super Mario Bros. (DS)

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (PS2)

Canis Cadim Edit/Bully (PS2)

Although it's very unlikely I'll get all of them...

It's great to be back!!

Trojans!! Union leaders read here...

Well some of you may have noticed I've been inactive for a while now, and heres the reason. I have a MASSIVE trojan problem! These things have invaded my system32 folder and have spread, so it might be a while until I can get them fixed and if I can't do anything... I've got some reformatting to do.

Anyway it took me an hour to load this page so don't expect to hear from me again until I get this fixed.

To all my unions, try not to demote me but I am warning you it may take a while for me to fix this. But until then...

I'll catch y'all later!

Finally back...

Some of you have probably noticed I've been inactive for the past week and a half, now this is finally over as I have returned from a long and grueling school music tour!

For 9 days straight it was nothing but bus rides, concerts & sleep deprivation. So this blogs going to be a little short, so I can catch up on some sleep. Just thought I'd let everyone know where I was and hopefully I haven't been demoted... :?

When I'm recharged I hope to raid the stores for a copy of DMC3. I also haven't picked up a controller in a while, so I need some fresh material.

Thats all for now, I'll try to catch up with my unions ASAP!

Bought my PS2 today!/Resurrecting the N64

While my true support still remains with Nintendo I thought it was finally time to purchase a console that was not made my Nintendo :o

It was either this or the Xbox, but the PS2 has a lot of the franchises I'm interested in that I previously didn't have access to through Nintendo. And I needed something other than my dated PC to play some games until the Wii comes out, so I turned to Sony.

PS2 Franchises I enjoy:

Final Fantasy - Square Enix

Dragon Warrior - Square Enix (though I think this one is starting to shift towards Ninty's direction)

Tales of - Namco

Gran Turismo - Sony

Soul Calibur - Namco

Devil May Cry - Capcom

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai - Atari

Grand Theft Auto - Rockstar

Xbox Franchises I enjoy:

Halo - Microsoft (also on PC)

Grand Theft Auto - Rockstar (also on PS2)

The Elder Scrolls - Bethesda (also on PC)

Tommorow I'm looking forward to picking up one or two games, still haven't completely made up my mind but I'll see when I get there.

As far as next gen goes though I think I'm going to invest in an Xbox 360 as my second console, their library is starting to show some variety. Maybe even a PS3 as a third (after about a decade of price-drops).

Just kidding! You can stay! :) But seriously...Get one...

If I get paid enough next week I'm looking to "Ressurrect my N64" by catching up on some of the games I missed out on. Here they are:

Lylat Wars (aka Star Fox 64) excellent game, can't believe I didn't buy it back in the day. But I'll make sure I eventually correct that mistake!

Diddy Kong Racing: call it kiddy if you want but this game was as hard as hell! I still haven't finished it (despite renting it several times) but when I'm looking for a challenge I'll know where to turn to.

Something says I might regret this tommorrow...

So, currently it's Sunday 10:41pm and I've decided to stay up the whole night to see my country (Australia) take on Brazil in the World Cup. Since it's on at 1:00am I don't see much of a point in going to bed then waking up a couple hours later, because I probably wouldn't get up...

Honestly I don't think we're going to win and this might result in falling asleep at school. Yes, school...still another whole week to go...

*Edit: Just as expected Australia lost 2-0*

The one and only highlight of this week would have to be on Thursday where I grab my savings and spend! On my mind this time will be a PS2 and a game (which I still haven't made up my mind about yet, possibly DMC3 or FFX). Then I'm finally going to settle this Wi-Fi connection-less situation (I'm tired of waiting for my order to be processed) and buy a Wireless router, mainly for my Nintendo DS. It'll be good getting back to playing my DS as I think it's collected dust for long enough.

I'll have two weeks to try all this stuff out then for the rest of my holidays my school's music department is going on tour. Music Tour for a week and a half, what fun it's going to be... (note the obvious sarcasm).

Anyway, I should stop ranting and get back to the soccer (or football, wherever you're from) Japan vs. Croatia is on, let's just hope it's enough to keep me awake.

Later everybody!

Post E3 Games List

Well E3 is over, actually its been over for a while now, just that I haven't been very active lately (shame, I know  ) due to heavy assesment period. But it should be over by next week (so don't demote me :) ).

Anyway I've been pondering over a master list of games I want to get, and here it is as follows.

- Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, HELL YEAH! Is it possible for games to get any better than this??)

- Final Fantasy III (DS)

- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii)

- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC, not really that motivated to get the Wii version for some reason)

- Tales of the Tempest (DS)

- Lost Magic (DS)

- Metroid Prime: Hunters (DS, just got released in AUS, I'll pick it up in a few weeks time)

- Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)

- The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS)

- Final Fantasy V Advance (GBA)

- Final Fantasy VI (GBA)

- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC)

- Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean (GC, gah! I still haven't gotten around to getting it!)

- WarioWare: Smooth Moves (Wii, this will be the ULTIMATE party game)

- New Super Mario Bros. (DS)

Add that to my list PS2 games. Which I have set a date to buy! That would be in 3 weeks time that I get my PS2!

After that I can finally get myself a copy of MP:H. Ah, these winter holidays will see me doing nothing but playing games beside my heater.

Can't wait!
