The only must-buys on that list for me are Resistance 2, Tekken 6, and Prince of Persia. I'd add Valkyria Chronicles. I'll see how Mirror's Edge and Tomb Raider pan out, but, in all likelihood, I will ignore the rest of those games entirely.

Personally, October is looking more like the month that's going to break the bank for me: Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Bioshock, FIFA 09, SOCOM, and NBA 2k9...with the possibility of Rise of the Argonauts and Dead Space, depending on if those end up being quality games.

Save for a few inconsequent details in the jungle areas, the game looks great.

Don't go in expecting MGS4 or SC4, but it's certainly no Conflict: Denied Ops.

First of all I love the game. But there are things that annoy me.

1) IDIOTS IN CARS: Look if you can't avoid running into my bullets then take your lumps. Learn from it. Don't mess up the game for everyone else by making us avoid your lame ace while trying to play our game.

2) COPS IN MULTIPLAYER: How is it a good idea to get 16 people together to shoot at one another while being shot at by the cops? Do you know how annoying it is to be killed because you're locked on a cop while someone else fill you full of holes? It's not fun. Quit it.

3) FREE MODE: Why would I want to run around killing people and not get paid for it? It's useless. Yes you get to practice. Still annoying.

4) RESPAWNING FAR AWAY: How is it a good idea to be spawned half a map away from the action?

5) RESPAWNING NEAR IN 1 SECOND INTERVALS: Who doesn't love to be farmed by the guy you just kill because he has a five second invincible respawn window.?

There's my list. Tell me what makes you angry about the game.

2. Yeah, cops suck in multiplayer...however, your reason for not liking them is lame. In fact, auto-aim is just lame, period. Learn how to free aim like a MAN!

3. I'm not a fan myself, but I understand that it's there for people that actually want to do it. Why are you complaining about something that is completely optional?

4. Don't die so often and that won't happen.

That sure was a lot of whining. Just pick and choose the online sessions that you want to play more wisely. I don't play in Freemode games and I usually avoid games in which auto-aim is enabled and I remain a happy camper.

What REALLY, REALLY annoys the piss out of me is people complaining about the dating. It's completely optional...just ignore the calls or break up with the chicks, sheesh. Even if you want 100%, you only have to actually date Kate before the end of the story, and then you can handle the rest of them when you beat it.

you meant 3, yea. if it would be on PS2 it would have 9.0 but it seems people think this generation is only about graphics...

well actually thats the reason this generation sucks, its about graphics without gameplay... all shallow games with pretty graphics...but if you have great gameplay without pretty graphics you are doomed... i'm glad NiS ( also Atlus, yay for Persona 4 on PS2 ) doesnt care about critiques much..

Exactly: IF it had been on PS2. Why pay an extra $10-20 for a game that should have been released on the PS2? Isn't the whole point of releasing a new console to showcase technological advancement? If you have a back-compatible PS3, you can still play it...

You know that its on the same price line as most 3rd party dev games on PS2?

Wow, you're right. Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll definitely be picking it up soon then. The PS3 has disappointed me so far with it's lack of quality RPGs, so this'll be a welcome addition to my library.

Well, thats my opinion. Honesly, I couldn't stand it. I even had to re configure my resolution output just to play it. It looked horrible. It seemed thrown together. I don't know, once again, just my opinion but yea dude, I couldn't effin stand it.

The demo soured me on it after about 10 minutes. Controlling time was INCREDIBLY cool for those 10 minutes, but I had used all of the powers x number of times already, and that "wow factor" wore off, I just realized how mediocre the rest of the game was. It really did seem thrown together, like the devs thought that the time control element would make up for every other aspect being completely uninspired and average.

The MK series has been utter crap from 3 onward, so I rule that out on principle.

I love Tekken, but it always has HUGE balance issues with its characters. Some guys are useless and others are ridiculously good.

Soul Calibur gets my vote just for being more well-balanced than Tekken, plus it relies more on strategy and timing than "OMFG 10-hit combo! you're dead" mechanics. Don't get me wrong...I still LOVE Tekken.

I think VF and SF should have been options on this poll too...but screw DoA. It's like a dumbed-down, poor man's Virtua Fighter and I'm glad you didn't mention it.

If it doesn't have trophies then I will be skipping. There is no reason why they shouldn't be included. Trophies add replayabilty and being that this is a single-player only, it is gonna need them for me to feel I got my money's worth.Rich1631

Yeah, you're right! Trophies add replay value, so screw this game's open-ended gameplay, extensive character development, and mulitple endings. None of THAT lame crap makes me want to play the game again, only the possibility of acquiring a bunch of virtual trophies to show off to the people on my friendlist gives a game longevity...:roll:
