I'm looking to buy a laptop within the next couple of days. The main purpose of it will just be for general surfing of the web and using it for work. However if I could find one that would run games reasonably well within my budget then I would be extremely happy. I don't really want to spend more than £500. All reccomendations will really be appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah, the Blu Ray player was what really attracted me to it. Would this one be better for running games though out of curiosity? http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-7131.aspx

So I'm looking to buy a laptop but I don't really want to spend more than £500. I would like it to be able to play some games but i'm obviously aware that it wont be able to run the latest games well.

Does this laptop look any good?

What kind of games would it be able to run and how well?

All help is really appreciated.

Oh yeah, any kind of general things that I should look for when I go shopping for my new laptop would also be extremely helpful.

I was extremely fortunate to receive a hefty amount of money for christmas and i'm now looking to buy a Laptop ready for when I go to uni. I'd also be keen to play some games on it but I am aware that I probably wont be able to play the latest game on it as I don't really want to spend anymore than £500. However, if there are some laptops that would clearly offer me a lot more for my money then I might be willing to increase my budget to £650.So what is the best laptop I can get for that kind of money?

Any help is really appreciated.

I've never had this happen to me. All i can suggest is play the game less or sit further away from the tv.
