I do not have xbox live so I don't have any updates, I tried playing the .AVI movie files and they did not work, then I converted them to .WMV and they didn't work except for one movie. I don't understand.

So I got an 8 GB Flash drive (FAT 32 Format) and I put a few movies onto it, I origonally downloaded them as .AVI files then converted them to .WMV using Prism Converter (free edition)...So when I plug the Flash Drive into my Xbox 360 only one movie works fine and the rest Cannot be read...The converted files are even distorted visually and auditorally on my computer. (The origanal .AVI versions work just fine on my computer.)

So I was wondering, what is wrong with this situation? What can I do about this, to make movies work on my Xbox 360 using my Flash Drive? And what is a great movie converter?

Thank you to whoever helps me out.

I was actually looking at the mybook hard drive, but that is weird that you can watch movies on your xbox with the eternal hard drive only if your signed onto the internet...I don't have access to the internet or xbox live. Is there another external hard drive that will work out?

Hello everyone, My friend has a one terabyte extertal hard drive that allowed me to listen to his music and watch his videos through my Xbox 360 via a 2.0 USB. I recently purchased a SeaGate: AgentGo and my Xbox 360 was unable to read the external hard drive. (it shows up as a portable device if there is one plugged in the Xbox 360.)

So I need to know which external hard drives (brand and/or model) will let me stream my media on my Xbox 360, if any of you KNOW which external HD will work by experience PLEASE let me know.

I am having a very difficult time finding out elsewhere on the internet so your help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you all for helping me out.

I've actually been considering the Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 with Intel Core Duo at 2.16 GHz, 3GB of RAM with a 320GB hard drive. ***Is that good enough?***

Also, my current laptop is a Dell Studio 15 (I'm sending it back because of problems right out of the box, not just once, but twice!!!) with an Intel Core Duo at 2.00GHz. 3GB of RAM with a 320 GB hard drive...

So Is the Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 a good laptop? Or, what laptop do you guys recommend?

What specs do I need in my laptop for all around entertainment, media, and everyday home use. (No gaming...) I'll be multitasking with about 10 open internet tabs, while watching a movie from my hard drive, while download music and movies, while watching a DVD...

All the help will be appreciated. Thank you all.

I don't know much about computer specs so I'm in need of some advice...Whenever I go to forums aiming at computers I hardly get replies so I came here. (I love gamespot)

I'm looking to purchase a new laptop for entertainment and media, Home use. For storing music and movies, surfing the web, streaming music and movies from the internet and I'll be multitasking. But I won't be playing games on it.

My questions are: What is the difference between 2GB of RAM and 3 GB of RAM? What would 3 GB of RAM do for me? I won't be recording music or doing visual art... I'm willing to pay up to $800. I've been looking at HP, Toshiba Satellites, and the Lenovo IdeaPad Y530. Also, what laptop do you guys recommend to me for purchasing?

If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time and advice.
