There was a second hand video game store that had recently opened in the market in my town, I figured I'd have a look in there and he just had it on a box with a classic controller so I picked em up, it was where I got the Animal Crossing game too.

I've still gotta play the original on Wii... ot that I don't want to pla it, just that I'm not sure if I'm ready to committ that much time to it.

You might as well skip the original as this is the same game but with improved graphics and a loads of new content. They are going to shut down the servers for the wii one soon (if they haven't already) so your best bet would be to get Ultimate. That sucks they're going to shut it down...is that confirmed though?
I actually had to get my Game Cube fixed after about 4 years in 2007. Its worked great ever since...but now I have a Wii and utilize the backward comp.
