This is absolutely correct. FGs are best played from release. Not to mention it's guilty gear. The players will have LOTS of experience later on in the game's life cycle. It's best to join in now and strike while the iron is hot. There's lots of players and you can learn the game with them. This one is made for beginners too.

@CashPrizes: From a value standpoint, I agree 100%
But FGs are better played from right from the beginning of their lifespan when everyone is still figuring things out and you can join in with them. Get into the game late and you're going to have to find people also starting with you or risk playing against people with a lot of experience.
@Tiwill44: I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. Switch is usually the console of choice to bring with me when I'm traveling, whether it's for a vacation, conference, etc. Even then, I barely make any progress on the games because I'm too busy doing other stuff. And if I'm home (which is where I play games most of the time), then the main attraction of this device (the portability) becomes useless immediately.
I'm thinking this is for kids, or perhaps the college student who has gaps in their schedule and is looking to pass the time while waiting for their next class or something. Then they can continue their progress when they get back to their dorm. The library for this will be insane but I wouldn't want to play all those high end games on such a small screen.
Nonetheless, to each their own. I hope those that get one enjoy! I might still end up getting it because it has functionality outside of just video games but we'll see.
@thelostscribe: In the same boat as you bro. Tons of gangs violence and trouble where I'm from but I was always occupied with a game. I also became really good at fighting games in my tween years -- very good way for me to release stress and pent up frustration.
