Generally if you keep the console well ventilated (in a large open space, not locked away in a cabinet of some kind or in a tight enclosure) and avoid giving it many knocks and bumps, the RROD occurance will be extremely rare, despite much criticism about the console getting too hot (to the point the soldering melts) for no reason.

I'll remember to never take game recommendations from you! Bioshock is perhaps the best game of the 2007 next to COD 4.

Though MMOs are fun and addictive, I find them pointless and exploitative. The majority of them make you play for countless hours to get the things you want to acheive, whereas non-MMO games give you the same satisfaction of acheiving something in less than half the time usually.

Yes, WoW is one amazing peice of work, but ultimately its social-life destroying, soul suckingly pointless IMO.

am I not seeing ANY head turning titles announced at the E3 show for the PS3?

COME ON PS3, is MGS4 the ONLY thing you had to throw at us?!!

Im an avid 360 fan but on the horizon I see amazing PC games of EPIC proportions... Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Spore etc. Even on the 360 horizon... EndWar, Gears 2. But PS3, hrmmm.... Final Fantasy? We all know that franchise can be hit or miss.

What the hell is going on Sony? I think games developers are allergic to the system or something. I really DO want the PS3 to succeed cuz i was a ps2 fan all the way, it had GOOD games, why the hell is PS3 underacheiving. I know im gonna get flamed for this but come on, REALLY, what does the PS3 have in terms of AAA games, that 360 and PC doesnt, for present and future?

I am kinda trying to start a fight here, that is the point of this forum, but I do eventually wanna purchase a PS3. Is there a point other than to be able to play MGS4? I ask all my friends and they ALL say that they want a PS3 for MGS4... NOTHING ELSE. Give me a good reason to buy a PS3...

I agree that its easier in the way that you just put the game in the drive and voila! it works (providing the console is less than a year old and doesn't suffer from early death syndrome)

You could be right, maybe were just getting an increase in devs releasing their crap on the 360 who don't know how to use the console to its full potential. It just seemed a little coincidental that im seeing more games with frame issues lately then I saw when the console first appeared.

Browsing through the recent installment of new demos and also looking at the games that are still yet to come on the 360, I have noticed two things. Games are starting to get more framerate issues, and are also starting to just lose that WOW factor that I experienced when I first got my 360. Have game developers hit a wall when it comes to making 360 games progress graphically? Have the limits of the 360 been reached? Being a PC gamer, I already feel like the 360 is now a generation behind.

What are you thoughts?

I agree with Tenaka. People who don't enjoy PCs more are just repressed by society! I havn't read EVERONE's post, but in responce to the TC:

1. Consoles have more AAA games?! Uh... go look through the Gamespot reviews and count how many 9+ reviews there have been for PC in the past 5 years compared to all other consoles. Plus there is also the fact that most decent games that have arrived on console come out on PC eventually anyway. Also, in the UK I pay £25 for my PC games... in some cases I still have to pay £50 for my 360 games which usually lack the quality the PC games have.

2. Easier to 'use'? Yes it takes a while to get your PC to work to it's total efficiency, and yes crashing is a common annoyance, but on the whole, PC games are for more accessible because the keyboard and mouse I think give you far more control over your game than a control pad ever will. PC games are 100x more customizeable to suit your style of playing. Most of the time, PC games are also 10x the length of most console games especially if you count MMOs and RTSs.

3 Consoles "advancement in interactive 3D graphics over the past 10 years is more impressive." Heh heh, I just laughed when I saw this. Why don't you go look at Half Life then go look at Crysis and come back and say the same thing. You tell me if the PS3 is as big a leap from the jump from PS1 graphics.

And in response to your selection of PC games that look any good in recent years. Let me add a few to Crysis and Half 2,

Medieval Total War 2

Eve Online

Gears Of War (yes, it came out on PC)

World in Conflict

Command and Conquer 3

Stalker

Unreal Tournament 3

The Witcher
