He got this from Joystic. There was an article on some Sony's Claire Blackhouse talking about it. Furthermore, she says that retailers see the console launch this week as a "way of getting people into the store," that those not able to afford the new hardware will "aspire to it" and "might buy the PSP 3000 instead." Thats where this thread owner probably saw this. Anyways while that does mae sense, that is NOT why Sony made the Go.DarkMaster7991
ive actually never seen this article, but at least im not the only one who notices the theory NOT sony's MAIN reason for relasing the PspGo, btu @ the price their asking for, my theory makes sense

sony already stated that theye projecting a ten year life span of the ps3 so call me in 7 yrs and ask then

now theres an answer i can live with. im not saying anything about a ps4 am i ? im just asking a question. now that i kno theres supposed to be a 10 year lifespan, im happy.

Companies don't always stick to their word, you never know maybe in two years time Sony will shock the world with revealing a new system, but we won't know that until it happens, Sony went through a rough time with the PS3 they made a lot of mistakes with it, but are fixing them and the PS3 is doing great at the moment, all they need to do is advertise it and its games correctly and we might see them support the console as they said.

What will disappoint me the most is not if Sony will announce the PS4 sooner than later, but if they decide to go the same direction as Nintendo.

i agree. as of right now ps3 is an amwaingly strong system, to replace it soon, or to even be working on a new system would be rediculous. HOWEVER, the next gen is enevitable, and i don;t think im ready to conform to a new system any time soon -_-'

i dunno, id be more disappointed, Ps3 is amazing. and i kno in a few years there gonna b a next gen., and im not ready to convert to anything more than ps3 Playstaton (1995-2006); note, ps2 was released five years after playstation Playstation 2 (2000-2010?); note ps3 released 6 years after ps2; only 20games supposed to be released for next year Playstation 3 (2006-2016 ?); note ps4 projected (in my opinion) to be released 6 to 8 years after release of ps3 thoughts ??

The new PSP Go is is priced @ about $250, and with no way to convert previously owned UMD discs to become compatible with the Go the product seems rediculous, right ?? Wrong. heres why: No one is dumb enough (i hope) to purchase the new psp go for $250. Sony made the price this high so comsumers will either opt out and purchase the psp3000 series for 50 bucks less, or pitch in 50 bucks more and get the psps slim, THUS increasing sales in either the ps3 or the psp3000 series. This will especially be effective come the Christmas season. Kudos to Sony
