[QUOTE="Lt_Horatio"]

Hey everyone, I have some Logitech X-530's. I think they sound great for the price but I had them for a while and I was thinking of upgrading.

What is a good 5.1 Sound System that sounds good for under $800?

Thanks

ChubbyGuy40

Under 800? You can get a killer setup with that. If you don't mind refurb you can really get something good. First off, Canadian or USA? Price difference and where to get things for those 2.

Onkyo HT-RC260 receiver

Polk CS1 Center

Polk PSW10 Subwoofer

Polk Monitor 30 II surrounds

Polk Monitor 40 II Fronts

Comes out to around 660 before shipping and tax (if you're charged that.) That's for a 5.1 setup but the receiver supports 7.2, so you could get another pair of Monitor 30s and even another subwoofer if you're a bass freak. Then you'd also need some speaker wire which you can get top-quality stuff at monoprice. I'd recommend some 14AWG stuff. There's also Onkyo HTiB stuff which are a lot cheaper, but not nearly as good mostly due to the speakers they provide. The only good one they have (and the best HTIB out there imo.) is this one. A bit pricy though. Could save 50 bucks by getting the earlier version but then you miss out on a few features. Even then you could get better value getting seperate speakers + amp.

Oh wow, thanks for the detailed post. I'm deffinatly gonna check them out. Thanks man

Good Morning OT, I watched this videorecently and I was wondering what you guys think are the best and worst music videos.

My best would be this

I just love the scope of the video

Worst would have to be Best I ever had by drake. The song is awesome but the video is absolutely horrible.

What are you favourite music videos OT?

[QUOTE="C_Rule"]What do you mean they don't have drivers that support 240? Where are you looking? I'm looking the the nVidia site right now, and it clearly says 240 is supported.

try uninstalling the gfx driver in device manager before installing it again. cocteau7
Alright, I wasn't thinking straight. In my computer at home I have a GTX 480 so without thinking I installed those drivers. This is probably the stupidest thing I've ever done. Thanks for the help guys, I fixed it :p

So today I bought a computer for my brother from a computer shop because I didn't have the time to assemble the parts my self.

I installed windows 7 on it and then got the GT 240 drivers off the nvidia website and installed them. As I was installing msn for him the screen went aqua blue and the comp restarted. When I rebooted everything worked fine so I thought nothing of it and continued installing programs. When I started installing empire total war the screen screwed up and it was half green and everything was frozen so I rebooted and now everything is working fine again. What is the problem? I just need this comp for my brother to do school work and some light gaming on. When I downloaded the drivers it didn't have the GT 240 in the supported products, it had every card except it. What do I do to fix this? Has anyone had anything similar happen to them?

AMD Phenom-II X6 1055T Six-Core CPU (6 x 2.80GHz, turbo up to 3.3GHz)

AMD 880G AM3 Motherboard

4GB Kingston DDR3 1333MHz RAM

1TB WD Caviar Green SATA2 HDD 64MB Cache

1GB Geforce GT 240

EDIT: I'm running windows 7 64 bit if that helps
