also, it seems EV training my pokemon backfired somehow? even the ones i trained defensively are more fragile, and the ones i trained for speed (with high base speed) are still slower than that freaking delphox, even after mega evolving.
You sure that you EV trained em right? And are you sure he didn't EV train his Delphox?
But a Houndoom would completely own Delphox, so try that.
i maxed speed and Sp.Atk on my lucario, and even mega-formed he couldn't outrun the delphox. i'm sure he didn't EV train them, because earlier that day he was asking me how EV training works and how to reset EVs, and even after the battle he was talking about how he won without EV training.
and i don't like playing with pokemon i don't like >.> plus if i put a houndoom, he'll just swap, so my team strategy is slowly changing to DoTs (spikes, poison spikes, stealth rock), since our battles always involve so much swapping. right now i'm trying to evolve a gollet into golurk, and i'll try to see if i can make him tanky enough to withstand attacks while wearing down his team's more glassy pokemon. also allegedly he can learn stealth rock, but then again, so could aggron, but i couldn't find the option on the move tutor.
