Hey guys, firstly Ijust want to say thanks to all your friendly "Welcome back" comments, I really appreciate :)
So in the weeks of my absence I was obviously playing many games, I played several, some newly released, and some dating back to last year. Below is a brief summary of each. :)
1. Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
I rented this game, and to be honest, I was in for a huge surprise which I didn't expect. I heard how realistic it was, but I didn't know that one hit would mean you would have to completely stop what you're doing and patch yourself up! :? Even worse, 1 bullet could erase about 20 minutes of hard work.
But, I did complete it. I don't know how, but when the credits finallyappeared , it was a really rewarding feeling, a feeling that I don't often get when completing a game. It took a lot of patience though, and some parts of the game were nice, but some - terribly challenging. But, overall, the difficulty made it more rewarding when an objective had been completed.
Final score - 6.5/10 - I'll never bother playing it again, it was painfully hard, and had me swearing and throwing things in every direction :P

2. Red Dead Redemption
The highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption arrived not that long ago, and what I experienced was like nothing before. The western atmosphere was outstanding, never have I been so immersed in such an engaging world. Rockstar served up another winner, and despite obvious similarities to Grand Theft Auto in terms of physics and gunplay, it still felt set apart by quite a distance. :)
Overall score - 9.5/10 - If it wasn't for such a disappointing ending then it would rank higher up on my games list, but the ending was horrible, and quite simply has put me off playing through it again. :(

3. Split/Second
Quite simply the best racing game I've played on next gen consoles so far. Its visuals are stunning, the track design is brilliant, and each location makes the most out of its unique concept that changed the whole feel of this arcade racer. Power plays can be triggered on opponents when your meter is high enough, and these are great, explosive effects, where shock waves feel so real. If you gain enough power, you are able to trigger route changers in the environment, like taking out a bridge, tower, and even call in an a plane to demolish any rivals ahead of you. The concept is fantastic and rarely feels repetitive. :D
Overall score - 9/10 - Opponents can also trigger power plays which adds to the intensity. If only they weren't so aggressive though :P

4. Alone in the Dark: Inferno
I got this a long time ago, but didn't enjoy it. Recently I bought the guide, since I found it so difficult lol, and so my experience changed when I realised how entertaining it is. The story and characters are really good, and the puzzles, when you know what your doing, are satisfying to complete.
The combat is sometimes troublesome and enemies are relentless at trying to kill you, but in the end Alone in the Dark is a cool, satisfying horror adventure game :)
Overall score - 7.5/10 - I also got the platinum for it, which makes it 8 platinums that I havenow :D

Wow, that felt like ages to type up, so I'm going to stop there for now :P
Thanks for reading 8)
