Kinda stupid to ask what is Mario Kart in the topic title, I think everyone knows what it is, plus the game is out in two weeks in Europe, already 3 reviews on Gamerankings, one on Eurogamer 8/10, no real need for this topic...

not trying to rain on your parade TC, it's a nice topic, and I love everything to do with MK, just a little late....

dmc4 is overratedhungryheart077

No it's not, nobody ever said it was the best thing since sliced bread like they did with Halo 3, DMC4 averaged about 85% on Gamerankings which is pretty spot on. It's a fun game, good combat, has problems with repeating bosses later on, but still a very fun game.

[QUOTE="Cerussite"][QUOTE="DeathScape666"]

[QUOTE="JakeTD21"]Why some many new games?jg4xchamp

Because old first person shooters age horribly and most people that say these crappy first person shooters from 1998 are awesome just suffer from a horrible case of nostalgia. I've played Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, TimeSplitters 2, and a bunch of other games, and while I didn't enjoy any of them all that much, I can easily say that they kick the living crap out of Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark. They were amazing back in the day, but they absolutely suck now.

3D platformers and fighters seem to hold up a lot better. Oh, and all Zelda games.

The only reason Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark haven't aged well is in part due to the single-analog stick control scheme.

and the single player campaign in goldeneye was meh and boring. Level design wise it was terrible as well by todays standards. Gameplay would be slower.

THe thing is the FPS genre ages alot. Few FPS games hold up to the future great games.

A game like Timesplitters(which is a throwback to the goldeneye and perfect dark games) is a great example of just a good FPS by todays standards being completely suprior to the 64 shooters.

Sorry but the single player in Goldeneye and PD were ******* amazing, Timesplitters was total **** in comparison.

My favourite would be Goldeneye, followed by COD4, but this is the best level EVER in a FPS

5 star all mercs levels with all characters.

Not easy, but a fun challenge if you're up for it.

I should just point out that I am talking about the single player side of Halo 2 and Halo 3 being ****, multiplayer is still kinda fun if you have NOTHING else to do.
