Reasons why I will not be getting a PS3.
by MADDOX007 on Comments
1. I have had nothing but Sony consoles until I decided to get some money. 2. PS2 has pretty much dissapointed me even though I was told it was supposed to be the "best console of our generation." 3. They barely have any original game titles that I'm interested in. (FF 12 is not original, they've been making FFs since the beginning of time and that goes for any other series on the PS2 like Tekken). 4. I'm just plain sick of the hyped up crap on it. NHL 2K6 isn't any more different on the PS2 than it is on the Xbox like a few people at my school have said. 5. The PSP is sucking away all my hard-earned money and I could probably expect the same of the PS3. 6. I've given enough money to Sony anyway. 7. The PS3's contoller looks like a boomerang for crying out loud! 8. I just don't like it. I mean, come on! I just don't. 9. I am no longer a slave to Sony's PS2 online service because it sucked, so why should I trust the PS3. 10. Solid Snake is old again.
These are the reasons why I"m not getting one not why you shouldn't get one. I'm not trying to change anyone's opinions I just am telling you I will no longer serve the sony nation.

Super Mario 128 is a video game supposedly under development by Nintendo, the next game in the Mario series and is being called the "true" sequel to Super Mario 64. It is currently under very close wraps, supposedly so that Nintendo's competitors would not be able to copy their new ideas. Veteran creator Shigeru Miyamoto has stated that developer focus is for release on Revolution. It has been expected that the game would be revealed, at least in part, at the three previous E³s from 2003 to 2005, however, it has not been shown. The game is close to vaporware as a lot has been said about it for many years but little concrete has been shown.
Super Mario 128 may have been just a Japanese demo for the GameCube. Other demos of this sort include one for Luigi's Mansion and Meowth's Party.
Early originsThe name Super Mario 128 was first coined by Miyamoto during an interview for Nintendo Power as early as January of 1997, as a possible name for a Super Mario 64 sequel on the Nintendo 64.
NP: Why did you make Star Fox 64 for Nintendo 64, a remake of the original Star Fox?
SM: We wanted to produce an interesting game design, rather than a new story. Sometimes I ask myself if we should continue this approach. For example, should we keep trying to put all the new technologies into each new Mario game. What comes next? Super Mario 128? Actually, that's what I want to do. (laughs). [1]
However, no further regular Mario games were released on the Nintendo 64. Focus moved to a next-generation Mario title with the announcement of 'Project Dolphin' in 1999 as the codename for their next console, which eventually became the Nintendo GameCube. In another Interview, with Nintendo Power (in January, 2000) Miyamoto spoke about the next-gen Mario game:
SM:"I'd like people to think that the new Mario for Dolphin is something that they've never seen before. That's what I'm thinking about right now. I think I can make an entirely new game experience, and if I can't do it, some other game designer will. I'd like to make a new Mario game that appeals to everyone, full of interesting new ideas. If it turns out that Mario doesn't really fit into the type of game I want, I wouldn't mind using Zelda as the basis of the new game." [2]
The game apparently appeared at the penultimate Nintendo Spaceworld event in August, 2000 with a demo called "Super Mario 128" being shown, with a large 2D Mario splitting off into 128 smaller marios across a kind of circular Monopoly board. This game, as Miyamoto stated, was "something they've never seen before" in the Mario series. It is now widely thought that technology used in this demo was put into Pikmin, using large numbers of characters at once on screen.
In the end this game merely turned out to be just a tech demo. One year later at Spaceworld 2001, Super Mario Sunshine was fully unveiled as the next Mario game; it was released in July, 2002, in Japan, and a month later in North America. It was very similar to Super Mario 64, and not the 'different' game Miyamoto had spoke of before. Many people believed Mario 128 turned out to be Mario Sunshine, and the name quietly sank into oblivion.
Chasing Mario 128On the 10th of December, 2002, IGN reported that according to an interview in Japan's Weekly Playboy magazine Miyamoto had mentioned, and confirmed the continuing development of Mario 128:
"In the interview, when asked about what's next from the company, producer Shigeru Miyamoto comments, "'Pikmin 2' and the 'Mario 128' game that was shown at the [GameCube] unveiling are both in development." Miyamoto elaborates a bit about the latter title, stating "I believe that with this game you'll be able to feel the "newness" that was missing from Mario Sunshine." [3]
Miyamoto mentioned the game a couple of times before E³ 2003, but it failed to appear at the expo. Instead, Miyamoto demonstrated Pac-Man Vs. and concentrated on connectivity and its relation to Nintendo products. Mario 128 was not mentioned. In an interview after E³ with Computer and Video Games, Miyamoto confirmed that Mario 128 and Mario Sunshine had been separate games.
Miyamoto:"In the case of Mario, obviously we were doing work on the Mario 128 demo that we were showing at Spaceworld, and separately we were doing work on experiments that we made into Mario Sunshine." [4]
Rumors later surfaced that Nintendo did not show Mario 128 at E³ 2003 because the game was very innovative, and Nintendo did not want other developers stealing the ideas from the game. As reported by IGN:
"The latest issue of Japan's Nintendo Dream magazine is apparently home to good news for Mario fanatics who were a bit disappointed with Mario Sunshine. According to the magazine, Nintendo's upcoming Mario 128 title is being built around a new idea that's never before been seen in a game. Apparently, Nintendo refrained from putting the title on display at E³ in order to prevent it from being stolen." [5]
Miyamoto later confirmed this in an interview with Nintendo Official Magazine UK, stating when asked what was happening with Mario, "I can't say anything concrete yet -- sorry. We're making it, of course and as afar as Mario games go, I want to make this a different -- but still Mario-esque game." [6]. Later in the year, there was a disappointing message from Nintendo's George Harrison where in an interview with CNN Money he stated that Mario 128 may not appear on GameCube at all.
"George Harrison, senior vice president of marketing for Nintendo of America, told me Tuesday that while a new Mario game for the GameCube is still a possibility, it's definitely not certain. Nintendo game master Shigeru Miyamoto teased a crowd with footage of what he called "Mario 128" when the GameCube was unveiled in 2000, but has said little else since. Harrison said the title is still under development, but he stopped short of saying it would be a GameCube game." [7]

Master Chief SPARTAN 117 (John)
RaceHuman (SPARTAN II)FactionUnited Nations Space CommandJohn, Spartan-117 (alternatively known by his rank, Master Chief; to the Covenant, as the Demon) is a fictional character featured in the video games Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, and the novels Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo: The Flood, and Halo: First Strike.
Although his official military designation is SPARTAN-117, he is most often referred to simply as the "Master Chief", short for his rank of Master Chief Petty Officer, the highest enlisted rank in the United States Navy. The traditional rank of Master Chief is a purely administrative position, but the protagonist of Halo is more like an action hero.
The Master Chief is a SPARTAN-II Super Soldier, a genetically and cybernetically augmented cyborg warrior designed to be humanity's ultimate fighting machine in their war against the powerful alien empire known as the Covenant. Extensive surgical alteration coupled with a ruthless lifelong training regimen has resulted in Master Chief being significantly stronger than even the strongest natural human, and his strength and fighting ability are further augmented by the advanced MJOLNIR Mark V power armor he wears.
According to Bungie Studios, The Master Chief stands 7' tall and weighs approximately 1,000 pounds in full battle armor. Between Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, the Chief's armor is upgraded from MJOLNIR Mark V to Mark VI. Both iterations of the armor include a helmet with reflective visor so the face of the Chief is never seen.
His voice actor is Steve Downes.
Character historySpoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. The Master Chief's childhood was spent in Elysium City, on the planet of Eridanus 2 where he lived with his family. His name was John and he was large for his age at the time, approximately a foot above his school peers, a sign of a "perfect genetic match" for a project dubbed "SPARTAN II". He is described as having tousled brown hair, a gap between his front teeth, and freckles at this age. This is the only clear description of his face.
At the age of six, John and quite a few other children his age were covertly captured from their houses, and replaced with flash clones. This specific form of clone was employed to ensure that none of the families knew that their children had been kidnapped. However, this branch of cloning was unstable and all of the clones died shortly after of what seemed like natural causes. Dr. Halsey later commented that this side effect was unfortunate, but the timeframe requirements of the project left no alternative. The original children were brought to planet Reach, one of the UNSC's headquarters, to train to become SPARTANs. On Reach, the abducted children began intensive special training as part of the Spartan program, and were assigned new identification numbers instead of last names. John became known as John-117.
On the first day John meets his team Kelly-087 and Sam-034. They later become best friends. At the age of eight they are sent out into the wilderness in Pelican dropships. Their trainer Chief Petty Officer Mendez said the last soldier to complete the objectives had to walk back to the base. After getting involved in a fight with men (without uniform and insignia) assigned by Mendez to protect a Pelican that resulted in extensive injuries, John wanted to make sure everyone got back so he and the fellow future SPARTANs stole the Pelican (large transport craft). When they returned home Mendez deemed him squad leader.
The children were biologically modified and enhanced, undergoing the following procedures:
- Advanced carbide ceramic material grafted onto bones to increase durability
- Protein complex injections to increase muscle density and lower recovery time
- Body growth hormone pellet injections to boost skeletal and muscle tissue growth
- Occipital capillary reversal to increase blood flow to the eyes, resulting in enhanced vision
- Superconducting fibers added to nerve endings, resulting in 300% increase in reflexes and increases in intelligence, memory, and creativity.
These procedures had substantial risks, and only 33 SPARTANs of the original 75 survived to functional status. Of the others, 12 suffered 'significant impairment' and were relegated to tactical duties. The rest died. John, during his time with the SPARTANs, was deemed the "luckiest" and was the first to test the MJOLNIR armor. He also took command of the trainees during free-form tactical exercises.
John-117's first mission was against rebels in the asteroid belt of the Eridanus System, where his homeworld was located. He was wounded but not incapacitated while leading his squad to capture Colonel Robert Watts, leader of the rebels. He received a Purple Heart after the mission.
Later on, he was briefed on the Covenant threat; he and the other SPARTANs would fight for many years against this new threat. They were first sent to Chi Ceti 4 to retrieve the MJOLNIR Mark IV armor. On the way they encountered a Covenant frigate above the planet: Sam, Kelly and John subsequently boarded it and planted a bomb. This resulted in the death of Sam who stayed behind to ensure the detonation of the explosives to destroy the ship. Of the three SPARTANs who went on that mission only John and Kelly survived."

Link is the protagonist from Nintendo's Legend of Zelda video game series. Link was created by Shigeru Miyamoto, and first appeared in the 1987 game The Legend of Zelda. Introduced as a generic sword-fighting hero, the character was typical of fantasy adventure games. However, later Legend of Zelda titles revealed significantly more details about him. The game's success—over 6.5 million copies sold worldwide[1] (#wp-endnote_optigamer)—and that of its numerous sequels made Link one of Nintendo's best-known characters. Link is named for the "link" the player shares with the hero of each game[2] (#wp-endnote_linkwithplayer).
A peculiarity of the character is that there are several different incarnations of Link throughout the whole Legend of Zelda series, although they share a number of distinctive characteristics. The existence of multiple Links is made obvious on many occasions in the games; for example, the introduction sequences of Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap refer to an ancient, legendary champion, identical in appearance to Link. Miyamoto confirmed that there were multiple Links in late 2003. However, the exact chronology of the Legend of Zelda series is subject to debate among fans, and apart from a few fairly clear pairings (see Link's incarnations section) it is uncertain which of Link's incarnations appears in each of the games (see Legend of Zelda series for a discussion of the controversy surrounding the chronology of the games).
Common attributes of all "Links"Link is a courageous boy or young man—it is unlikely that his age ever exceeds 19 years at any point in the series. In Legend of Zelda (LoZ) games, he usually leaves his home and relatives at an early age to pursue his destiny and fight Ganon, his archenemy, or other servants of evil. In almost all LoZ games, except for Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Link is a child when he begins his quest. This is made clear through Link's body dimensions in the 3D games and by his lack of sexual awareness: when certain characters exhibit sexual behavior in parts of some games, Link is taken aback, rather than tantalised.
Link's adventures mostly take place in his native kingdom of Hyrule, although The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages are set in other locales. Link is closely associated with the Triforce of Courage and thus with the goddess Farore and her color, green. Recovering the Triforce of Courage is a key part of some LoZ games like The Adventure of Link and The Wind Waker."

Holy sh!t, I played the Best snowboarding game I think there has ever been made, on my friend's Xbox 360. First off, they put a resort on there that is really really close to where I live. Snowbird, one of the best resorts I've ever been to. I'm serious it is just up the canyon from me and it's in the same state and city I'm in. That's so awesome! Not only does it have a resort that I go to but it's a really fun game. You go down one run that I think is at a 90 degree angle (you're basically jumping off a cliff). Update: I got a message telling me that Amped 3 is nothing compared to SSX 3. Let me tell you something. This is the best snowboarding game I've ever PLAYED. This does not mean that I have bad taste in general.
Mario Hockey.
by MADDOX007 on Comments
I have now just played Mario Soccer and realised that if I were to be able to turn blood on, there would be more gore in this game than Resident Evil. Where's the referee, and if there is one, is he blind? Half the things you do in that game would kick you out of the game. Throw a bomb at someone, freeze them, even throw spiked things at other players and the audience just wants more. Now, Hockey has always been ten times as violent as soccer. Think of a Mario Hockey.
There is no way Nintendo could sneak blood out of a Hockey game. Now, unless they don't add items, this will be a very confusing game, just like Mario Soccer only ten times worse. So, we just add nametages so you can see your name in nice fat letters
"H4cker$ @ u FOOO"
That seems like an average internet username.
Anyway, you would basically have the same controls as Mario Soccer only you geet one button that kills everybody. (This game will most likely be on the Revolution). But, that is too easy so we should add a button that brings everybody back to life and that all kill move will basically just be a slow down attack. But that's gay so we will have a limited number of these kills and bring back to lifes. Or we could just get rid of that whole entire kill and bring back to life move. (If you haven't noticed already I'm just trying to kill some space). Here is a character list: Link (The TP version), Bowser, Mario, Ganon, Samus, Fox, some pirate guy (Nintendo would be awesome if they started making some pirate characters, and cool ones), Master Chief (I don't care about your copyright laws, Microsoft, and this is just a made up list anyway), Cloud, Spawn, Yoshi, Luigi (Can't have Mario without Luigi), Black Mage from FF, Kirby (All you Kirby-haters can shut your holes), Kratos (Again, I don't care about copyright laws, Sony), Koopa, and any other characters the public would like to add down below on the comment board. We would have the real players play with the Nintendo ones.
Yeah, that would be awesome, with real players.

Do you like any PS2 games? Yes, MGS3, God of War, all FF (Most of them anyway), and...MGS2: Sons of Liberty. Why do you hate so many PS2 games?
I do not really feel that strong about many PS2 games I don't like. But, I suppose it's just because most of my life I've owned playstation systems throughout my life and they continue to dissapoint me. don't get me wrong, I would probably hate the Xbox consoles if I had owned them my whole life and same with Nintendo consoles. Why do you hate Richard Dawkins so much and who is he?
The reason I hate him is not because he is an atheist but because he is selfish and the only reason he is an atheist is so he can be different. Open your eyes! You're not any different than any other moron out there. Richard Dawkins is a large supporter of the evolution theory and he creates his own sh*tty theories that link with evolution. But, we're here to talk about games so let's talk about games. You say your from Utah, are you Mormon?
I prefer do be called LDS and yes I am "Mormon."
Omfg you can't drink beer! Rofl!
Get back to the subject of games! (No, I don't drink alchohol of any kind).
What is your favorite game?
At the moment: Ninja Gaiden: Black.
You a Microsoft & Nintendo fanboy?
No, all my life I have owned sony systems and after you have played so many sony games you get really bored of the system.
Why do you hate GTA?
I don't I just like pissing off people who like it by giving bad reviews and comments to GTA games. e.g: "You ****er I'll kill you and all your sh*tty Nintendo fanboy sh*t. I hope you choke. 3====> suck it!" Wasn't that entertaining?
Do you really hate any games?
No, I haven't really hated any games that I have played I just get bored with them is all.
You are really lazy with reviews.
Yes, I am lazy with reviews and sometimes I make up statistics to support my opinion. It isn't really smart but I do it anyway. For instance:
