Yes, even though I already have an ELITE, Pro, and two HALO 3 Special Edition consoles. I also have money to blow so who cares and red is my favorite color.
It has never taken over two weeks for mine to come back, but that's because they almost always send me a new one. You aren't really getting lucky they just know that it's better to send the refurbished one and then to fix yours later.
It is the best DLC out on the Marketplace, but that doesn't mean that the game is good. In terms of content and quality it simply is the best DLC you can purchase, but the gameplay for me wasn't GTA. I loved Niko Bellic, he was easily the best protagonist of any of the GTA characters and I think he's one of the best protagonists ever. TLaD is missing that story behind Johnny "The Jew" Klebitz, the new protagonist. The whole game just feels very weird with the whole biker gang thing going on. I find it too hard to take it seriously. I already hate most of the characters so that doesn't help. The story is pointless. The graphics have seemed to improved with the film grain filter until you get up close to the TV and then they are horrible. I want to play TLaD because it is GTA, but in the same sense it kind of isn't GTA. You're too associated with your bike and the brotherhood to have that much freedom and the 5 new achievements they added are stupid not to mention that the description of one of them ruins the ending. It's definitely the best DLC you can purchase content wise, but don't be surprised if you don't enjoy it.
You're kidding right? First off, if he really wants a red Elite, he can just get some spray paint and paint is elite red and his controller. Wow... that was very cost efficient. No need to spend $400 for that. So let's see the prices:
Spray Paint: $7
Duck Tape to cover all the air holes for the Elite: $5
Turbo Street Fighter II HD Remix: $20
The Games $65
Premium Theme: $2.50
=$104.50

If you want to be a jackass like that let's see you forgot the $180 120GB HDD which not to mention will not be black, but grey instead so that will need to be spray painted as well. IDK if you knew but spray painting the console will void the warranty so that's $125 and we don't need to factor in the other two. So add around $300 to your price and there you go it's the same thing except instead of **** @$$ spray paint you can get straight off the assembly line. I forgot to add that he would also need an HDMI cable and the one MS gives you is $40 so let's add that in as well and his console might not have an HDMI port. So you're way off with your cheap alternatives.
If you look at the bundle $400 is definitely a fair price. Basically the console is an elite so there you go an elite alone is $400, but this one comes with a custom paint job. Now you get the red controller too and that sells for $64.99. You also get the premium theme which is 250MS points so it's like $2.50. You get the SFII Turbo HD Remix which is 1,200 points so that's like $15. Then you get the game which is $59.99 and a black headset which you can't buy.
