Red Dead Redememtion Online : Gangsta's (greifer's) Paradise

Holy crap REd Dead is full of griefers. You can screw up people's gang hideout runs. I did guilty. Then Play cat and mouse with them by taking a quick transport to the other side of the map. You can be a REAL coward and run to a gang Shootout match or co-op. Some Nerd attacked me while I was trying to run up a high bounty. I was killing all the Police at blackwater. Kind of revenge for (SPIOLER ALERT!)

Them kILLING mARSTON AT THE END OF THE GAME. i KNOW IT WAS THE GOVERNMENT GUYS AND THE us ARMY, BUT DAMNIT, SOMEONES GOtta pay. Anyway , I got up a marginal bounty, and I found a good choke point above the saloon to kill scores of th em. Then some A-hole player runs up to attack me, I was at the top floor of the saloon, so I saw him coming. so I dropped firebottles down on him and almost blew him to smitherines with Dynamite. The bum actually made it to the top floor, but he tried to play cat and mouse by running through different doors up there, and I shogun blasted him. He still didnt get the message, came at me again. Too bad I was out of dynamite, so he got a cheap close range kill, exploiting that my guns dont fire well when someone gets too close, and he knifed me.

Anyway we had a shootout in the streets, killing each other. Then the knob ran away. So I formed a posse with two guys, and we hunted him down and proceeded to frag him mercilessly while he was trying to solo the tumbleweed hideout.

Let that be a lesson to you, dont grief people while they are being a public menace to NPCs' or you will be Posse-owned.

I like free Roam, it's a mini MMORPG. I remember EGM suggesting to Rockstar while interviewing them that they do something like this with GTA, Im glad to see it come into being so soon.

RED DEAD REDEMPTION :Freaking Awesome

RED DEAD is one of the BEST games I've played in a long time. And I've played a lot of good games recently. Lets not stop at the great, expertly written and acted story. The Improved Ai over GTA4 , which I thought was impossible. It has all the great, eccentric characters you come to expect and enjoy from a Rockstar North game. The only thing hated were the ranching duties, which I found tedious. It has that great morality system I found in infamous. That's great storytelling. I loved that about inFamous, you were FREE to wreak as much havok and kill as many people as you want, but the morality system discouraged you from doing so. So it was a system of control, but not taking away your freedom of choice. That is EXCELLENT GAME design, and an exemplary experiment in social engineering. The only thing thats sad is I beat the game all too quickly. I put so many consecutive hours in the game , I beat it ten times faster than GTA4. I hope they make DLC episodes for RED DEAD.

The Multiplayer is almost as great. There are a lot of seasoned players online that make it challenging.

People complain about free Roam, saying its a ghost town. Rockstar just makes AN abundant amount of servers so it doesnt meltdown with overload. for that effort they deserve PRAISE: They didnt have the launch debalce of failing servers like alot of other online games have had. I found a game with 12 other players in it, and let me tell you, that was the most fun Ive had online in a LONG time. It was hilarious, A group of 8 were doing the Pikes basin hideout. I ambushed them from high ground. An ALL OUT war insued at the spawn point atop Pike's Basin! EVERY other player saw what was going on throught the systems Death updates, and EVERYONE on the server flocked to Pike's basin. We had a 45 minute deathmatch and it was AWESOME!! I was shotgunning people in the face, Sniping them, EVEN Knifing them. What was also great about it was EVERYONE had mics. ANd the Girl players (yes) were using girl avatars and they were actually pretty good players. It really drew me into the game even more. It was a BLAST.

Ive had fun on free roam before, but it was more of being a hit and run troublemaker for other players.

OVErall I LOVE the MULTIPLAYER, so although IM saddened that I finished RED DEAD, Im glad that this multiplayer is so much fun and its WAY more polished than the GTA MP(although GTA4 MP was great).

Goh Vs Wolf

A lot of people have problems against wolf Players online. This will be my Ongoing Goh Blog. But first and foremost, I'm going to tackle the problem of taking down Wolf with Goh.

First, don't get into a war of attrition. If you just try trading blows with wolf, you'll lose. He's stronger, he hits harder. You have to play defensively. Most Wolf players online are cheesers who spam the dashing shoulder block, so if you just keep striking and trying to out strike Wolf, you'll get counter hit by Wolf for big damage. Make sure you block when a good distance from him, because the shoulder block can come at any time.

Wolf players like to spam bunches of punches and strikes. Most of them are hard hitting mid punches. This is his WEAKNESS. Goh has an uppercut that is a sabaki move, which means it will DEFLECT any mid punches. so when you are in an exchange with Wolf, or when you get one of your punches blocked and thus you are sure he is going to punch back, do the sabaki uppercut. The input is d/f P+k or 3P+K in the parlance. When an opponent is hit by this move he is in stun, and stumbles a little. This is your opportunity!!! When he stumbles, most likely he is going to try to block, when he does, dash in and get him with the d/f P+G throw, or better yet, the d/f, d/f P+G throw, then follow up with a ground hit.

My person favorite is d/f P+G throw in those situations, because its fast enough to always hit. I also use d, bP+G to mix it up. Here's the thing if your opponents response after stumbling is to low punch, do a defensive move P+K attack, or up, P+K. it will nail them every time. next ill get into countering Wolf's Defensive move P+K throw, another cheap move Wolf players like to spam.

UFC undisputed :the new fight night?????

Got to play the demo, and i was impressed.

Looked great, like fight night quality. Played decent, though I didnt know what i was doing about.

Finally got to play this retail version with my spazmatic brother last week. I liked it but my enjoyment was hampered by my brother punk playing style(spam reversals, spam specialty punch all day. ) Plus I was pissed that I couldnt get one submission on this guy. And trying submissions leaves you weak and exhausted, open to be knock out by one punch.

That Ped me off. But I cant let my passive jerk brother be better than me at ANY fighting game, so i didnt give up. My buddy Jeff had told me he had the UFC game too, so i tried it again on his system. Needless to say, it was much more fun after reading the instructions thoroughly, instead of listening to my brothers inept bungling explanation of how to play.

Plus Jeff just bought it, so we were equal skill level, not like my brother , who bought it day one and has be mastering it for three months. I have a better understanding of the take down system, the grapple transition system, and most importantly, I now know how to do HARD punches and kicks, something my twit of a brother failed to explain, which explains his brutal wins over me. knowing the transition sytem way better gave me a much better edge, and i also now understand how to do a successful takedown; you SPIN the R-stick after initial contact. Last week i was just hitting diagnol to cinch a takedown, that explains my poor success rate. Plus also good, I found out how to do the signature moves, its Lbutton and the face buttons. Plus , even more fun, L-button plus the face buttons and different directions on L-stick yeilds even MORe special moves. some are distance determined.

AND GET THIS: you can do SPECIAL GRAPPLE moves while hiting the L-button and the ri stick in semi circles.

ALSo HUGE: in reading the instruction manual, I found you have an option to put up youre stamina and Energy bars on the screen, which is way better, then its less of a guessing game to see how much a grapple drained you and youre opponent.

Overall great game. I give it an 8.5 or a 9. think it has great potential, and Im getting it for PS3. Sorry I dont buy 360 games unless they are exclusive. Great game. If they add the other guys its missing, likke St. Pierre, Mat Hughs, and royce grace (AND WHERE'S TANK ABBOT damnit?) through DLC I might make this a 9.5.

Advantage on Block

Down P+K gives good advantage on Block. Basically any move that gives good advantage on block is what you want to start your offessive with, followed up by short quick attacks to take advantage of the + frame advantage.

Other notable advantage on block moves are:

Tornado spin punch ,P+K+G , p

Offensive move kick up P+K+G , K(this move gives everybody advantage on block.

El Blaze

forward roll, HCF P, then P, k does high damage. Get used to using that as much as Ryus fireball. El Doesnt have many hight damage one hit moves. his strenghts are his combos, his staggers and his high number of special highs.

Special highs are moves that will counter- hit a crouching opponent if they try to low punch or low kick.

The nitaku situation is this, After you stagger an opponent, they are either going to break the stagger and block, or break the stagger and low punch-kick.

So if the guy your fighting is really good, he'll see what you do after a stagger first. If hes somewhat good he'll low punch or low kick, , and if he sucks , he'll break stagger and block.

So if he does nothing throw him with your highest damaging throw. If hes ok do a special high like up P+K, uf P+K ,k , then combo with whatever you can, preferably p,p f+P, k and stomp.

Also his stance turn (Demon something or the other) P+K+G sabaki's (deflects, parries) high punches and kicks, giving you again the above nitaku situation, special High or throw. A third choice is hit him with your hit throw, b, dfP+K, f+P+G, only if you SAbaki(deflect ) his high kick. An opponent that is parried doing a high kick takes a while to recover, and the Scratch rush hit throw (b,dfP+K, f+P+G ) does maximum damage.

still working on El Blaze, Ive got some other choice tactics and info on him, more latter.

Yeah Ive all but mastered SPOD and Gohs basara combo. All hit throws, in fact. The key is to just lightly tap the button input that intiates the hit leading to the throw, or the button input will last for to many frames and overlap and FOUL up the Throw input. A valid acturrate throw input can be made invalid by pressing the intial attack's button s for too long, which in this case means don't press the buttons in all the way. Another of my faves besides Goh and Akira is Vanessa. and I though GOH was a throw monster. She may not be able to do ground throws like Goh, But she can take you down and beat you silly down there, UFC style. Its called the Lance tackle, and you can cancel into it with SEVERAL of her combos. IF you Cancel into the Lance Tackle after her blowback combo, (4-6P, P , 4P) you with do 100 points of damage, half your enemies energy bar. That trumps the SPoD!!!!!! And her TWo Style stances, are both FORMIDIBLE. I find myself using one style or the other during a match. Sometimes I switch, but it has to be premeditated. Like I will gett some quick takedown damage in with offensive style, then switch to purely defensive style, because its such an all purpose style, good for all situations. Its an easy trap to grow adicted to her 1P defenive elbow, as it parries ALL low attacks, so you can kill the cheesers easily. Just dont get tooo addicted to using it, although its fast enough to knock a player out of their throw animation, a good player will sidestep or step back and mid kick you to hell. Still fighting my way up the ranks. Dont mind doing some ranked multiplayer. Still Dreaming SEGA grow a pair and release VF5 R on consoles so Americans can play it..........
