I recently purchased Paper Mario Thousand Year Door @ Circuit City for $10 on sale. Love the game by the way. I wanted Super Paper Mario for the Wii but I had not much cash and wanted a new game.

Anyways, I was playing thru the game & got to the Twilight Town and noticed that it has chars that look like Midna and the people of the twilight realm. I thought this was really interesting as Zelda TP was all about the Twilight realm and Midna.

Anyone else notice this?

Honestly, no. You might be able to get it connected if you do some tricky stuff (which I don't even remember how to do anymore), but you won't have a lot of functionality. I remember playing MPH on my DS on dial-up before we got DSL. Every game I played was laggy, to the point where I'd die because the enemy's body stood still right in front of me while he was actually behind me shooting me.

In short: no.

Yeah, FPS + dialup = NO FUN

Well hey @ least cutting her doll's hair is less "violent". Besides...chill out...it was kind of a joke.

Some people just need to learn to chill out @ least now & then.

How old are you and how old is your sister? Is she like 6 or what?

If she's young just cut the hair on one of her dolls or something! LMAO

*thinks about episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm*

i think i was the only one who didnt camp i had mine on preorder and went at midnight to pick it upbig_mak123

Yeah I preordered mine also. I did kinda "camp out". Well...if you wanna call it that.

I camped out moreso online all day reading forums and looking up info on preorder dates while my wife was in class. I registered for info on when EB/Gamestapo would be taking preorders. I got the email and was ecstatic. LOL.

That night I went to bed @ like 4 am (was working 2nd shift @ the time) and woke up @ like 8 am to go preorder it. I had a massive headache due to lack of sleep and it was BITTERLY COLD AND WINDY. I came not that prepared for how cold it was outside. That hour waiting for the store to open was quite miserable but quite worth it.

Before I went to pick it up on launch @ midnight, my wife and I went to Meijers (Michigan) and @ 10 pm there were like 20 or so people camped out.

Ahh...the memories!

I don't usually play Madden or watch football that much, but I'm really looking forward to this game. The Mii integration and online modes along w/ other aspects of gameplay have put it high on my must have game list.

might have to wait a while for someone stupid enough to still have dial up and a wii to visit this thread.mikebernat
Well not sure I would call it stupid...especially if someone had no better options than dialup for internet connection.

Believe it or not, when I lived w/ my parents in NC (they still live there) the local phone company's DSL cut off was like @ the end of the driveway (LONG drive way from the road).

I think the phone company says it was like 1000 feet or something like that too far to offer DSL service. I talked to my mom last night on the phone and the local phone company STILL won't offer it...even though MANY people in the community are requesting it.

It's a rural area so obviously that's the reason why...to a certain extent.

But if someone can get @ least DSL and still uses dialup for Wii online...yeah not so smart idea.

Ok, cool thanks. I didn't want to have to buy the wireless adapter if I did eventually get a 360. I figured it would work since it's M.S.

I was wondering if XBL would work on the 360, if the 360 was hooked up to an ethernet cable via Internet Connection Sharing on XP.

I would just hook it up to a router, however my wife & I live on campus in married housing w/ free wireless internet, and the best place for a signal is @ the back door (T.V. is on the other side of the room).

I don't own a 360, just wondering in case I ever did get a 360. I prefer cable internet, but too much money and you can't complain about free basic cable and wireless internet (when it works).

I prefer not to use ICS, however I had to when I used the Nintendo WiFi connector for my Wii.

Thanks.
