@CyDidley @Madtownbadger Haha, love that I can actually have an intelligent thread discussion. This is pretty "businessy," but do you think that if some of the game franchises that come out yearly like that would do better if the price was cut? Even like 10 bucks? For example, sports franchises are yearly, and in reality are pretty similar every year, compared to something like a smash bros or elder scrolls that isn't released every year which those devs truly need all those sales.

@spawnx That's an excellent point, but what I could see be reality is the developers who aren't making good games and have 30 used copies sitting on the shelves of gamestop and similar stores are the ones throwing the biggest fit. I think there is a reason there is an abundance of those used games. When a company I like sells a game I know I would hate to give up, absolutely will I buy it for full price.

I kinda see his point with the second hand market taking money from devs, but why does the second hand market/used games sales exist? Because at some point somebody realized that the games they owned blew logs and wanted to either trade them to someone for something else, or make a little profit from a title they don't view as worth the money they spent. My solution to used games (which I fully support): Get devs to start making titles that I would die a little inside if I was forced to give them up/sell/trade them in.

Nintendo is nintendo. They aren't sony, or microsoft, or whatever. Personally, what made me buy my wii u was because of how different it is compared to everything else. Now I don't have to feel like Im buying literally the same console just with different exclusives when I pick up a PS4 too.

@MetalDragon199 Pardon me, but how many call of duties are there? AC? Halo? etc? I realize that some of those aren't at eight, but they won't be stopped being produced anytime soon.

@ohjtbehaaave U put it perfectly. I think something else people do seem to notice is that nintendo's sole focus is not making the console with the prettiest graphics ever seen, but rather bringing sweet "not-for-all-console" games. Rather they are doing they're own thing and catering very nicely to the loyal nintendo fans. They don't seem to be in this convert to my console brand war that sony and microsoft have been in (in my opinion).

@MJ-X @Madtownbadger True true. This is more based on the things beginning to stack up against the Xone like drm, checking in, etc. But we'll see, many people I know have bought multiple 360 despite the RROD, so maybe they can pull something off.

This was the final dagger into the heart of the XOne. Poked around on gamestop and saw your able to purchase a ps4 with 2 controllers and a game for $20 more than the Xone with just the console. Why would I want that microsoft?

I honestly think that sony had a better press conference than microsoft and here's why: after being a 360 guy for years, I am now JACKED for the PS4. Sony made me want their console. Microsoft did very little imo to really say "Hey, we value gamers, and we want to give you a console that we know you will buy on launch". Sorry microsoft, it may be over before it's even over; we'll see.

I've spent the last however many years paying for a xbl gold membership. so paying 10 bucks less AND knowing sony and their kind souls we'll post likely receive a bunch of sweet games for free
