I officially pulled the plug last week, the computer system has died. Well, I got it formated, but my XP key is invalid now, dunno why, im told its something about a corporate edition etc that computer places used and is now illegal. Anyways a new key goes for about 600 bucks, F that! so im using my old key, first hurdle was getting DirectX9C april 2007 edition, but I had a game CD with it, good thing too. Internet explorer, no way, it was my favorite, but MS actually seems to intend users to not get it, they actually want people to migrate away? Fine, Opera, Firefox and Avant, my browsers, IE 7 is not in the picture, never will be either with thos MS **** running their business into the ground. And I thought it was their own policy to not cut support for an OS until like 5~10 years after its no longer considered current. Windows XP was released in 2001, and I believe the next official system was Windows 2003 Server (asume 2003?) so its 2007 now, thats only 4 years, so by MS's own rules, they should still be supporting XP. And the way I see it, they screwed over everyone with these corporate keys that repair shops were told to use by discontinuing them, but fine, why make them banned alltogether? thats not fair for the people that already have a key, we should have been given a replacement key then by MS. But again, MS dilibiratly tries to make its customers hate MS with all their soul. I guess thats how you sperate out the die hards. I went to a movie with a guy for his birthday, yes I know that sounds bad but hear me out, he is totally loyal to MS, he owns 6 360 games, but doesn't actually own a 360 yet. He just bought a used computer from a business, his key is considered pirated aswell somehow, though oddly it was ligit before. BUt hes obviously a true diehard, thinking MS has made all the best games etc. I tried Explaining to him that MS has barely made any games, that they infact just buy out other companies when they make a game. I dont think he understood though. Oh well.
So now I gotta reinstall all my games again, I'm doing so as I want to play them though, I copied my C drive Program files folder and most the folders that were on the root of the drive, to my F drive, which is a HDD 3 times bigger than my C drive, and I am just coping back programs that I want to use again, after I install them properly (to restore registry entries etc.)
