Because I liked Devil May Cry better. GoW just bores me to death. Kill these guys, solve some lame puzzle, have sex. It's all just lame, and the platforming sequences can go kill themselves.
That was what Hack'n Slash games were all about :/
And what is that makes DMC better?
Dante may be a jerk, but at least he has an excuse (i.e half demon) Kratos just goes on rampant killing sprees even after avenging his family. It's like everytime he leaves the house he kills anyone who dares look at his abnormal chin funny.
And I always liked how DMC didn't take itself overly serious. DMC 3 stands out as my favorite hack 'n' slash game ever.

I played Halo 1 this year and it really doesn't hold up. It's far more frustrating than you remember and the level design is atrocious; also that epic last level we all remember is one of the most frustrating things ever. Man the warthog controls poorly when you are used to Halo 3 controls.stephenage

Oh yeah, I totally untracked a guy yesterday because he gave every Halo game ever a 1.0.
For me the flood were the only bad part of Halo 3.

Actually, I liked them better because you could actually melee them. Which was a relief when I pumped my last shotgun shell. But every weapon in Halo 2 felt weak compared to Halo 1, which truly made you feel like a powerhouse that can't be stopped.
