While playing a game, rumble will have an impact on your experience playing the game. Using HDMI instead of component with the 360 isn't going to change your experience with the game.

Wow, how do you manage to take everything I say and misinterpret it? You pointed out the similarity between the PS3 getting rumble and the 360 getting HDMI after they were released. Let me spell it out for you:
- Upgrading to HDMI will not change the experience you get while you play games.
- Upgrading to rumble will change the experience you get while you play games.
There will be a lot more desire to upgrade to controller with rumble, then there will be to upgrade to HDMI from component.
