Blu-ray works now and will be even better in future... It has to be afterall Blu-ray seems to be the next big thing in HD era...

As others pointed out its not Blu-ray the problem but how good devs are to expolit the console's capabilities... I do believe Blu-ray has advantages with its massive storage and in time Devs will benefit from that...

I partly agree, but stating no Games its wrong... I enjoyed many games most of them being exclusives..

Resistance, Motorstorm, Heavenly sword, R&C, Uncharted, Assasins, COD4, Fifa08 etc etc so although its games library is not that huge it still had lots of quality games..

Don't get me wrong. I played those games. And I know very well PS3 had games in 2007. They just didn't have any break-out games that made everyone stop and pay attention. A game that made everyone say, "I gotta have a PS3."

I think that game is coming this year.

I understand your point... afterall its always a matter of personal taste.... But am sure with its 2008 line-up it will attract more gamers...

Yes I agree with that and that's the point in this tread, that many 'fanboys' just trash the PS3 and its poor sales when in reality Sony consoles always had a slow start....

I think all consoles are doing great in terms of sales, and let's hope AAA titles will keep coming on all systems

I own a PS3 and have seen lots of negativity surrounding this console... I am one of those happy gamers who got one and I truly enjoy games on it and find them of great quality (well not all at least)...

Regarding sales, I dont have the exact figures but roughly the 3 consoles overall sales are

WII 20+ million

Xbox360 18+ Million

Ps3 10+ million

So with the exception of the Wii, which is something different because it really did exceptionally well, the sales of the PS3 are doing good when compared to the Xbox360 since Xbox360 was launched 12 months earlier..

I do tend to keep in mind also that Xbox360 released its GOW, PG 4, Halo3, Bioshock, Mass Effect etc which are its exclusives AAA titles... The Wii also released its Metroid, Super Mario, Zelda games... But the Ps3 has yet to release its big guns like MGS 4, GT 5, KZ2, Tekken 6, LittleBigPlanet, FF XIII... So my point/opinion is that even without the big games and a higher price tag, it did very well...

I want to say first that I own a PS3 but am happy that currently there are 3 consoled doing good cause it creates competition and competition is always good in every sector/market.

However huge sales only do not show which console is the best... Let me give an example, The Honda CIVIC model sales where much more the the Ferrari 360 Modena... So does that mean that the Civic is a better overall car than the Ferrari 360 ????

Surely anyone with a bit of brain would say, no... same applies for anything, huge sales are a VERY important factor but currently does anyone except fanboys truly believe the WII is superior in both harware specs, online features and AAA games than the PS3 or Xbox360???

What AAA games you can mention that came out on Wii... SMG, Metroid, Zelda and what else ?? The rest are average to mediocre games...and although its always a matter of personal tastes, the fact remains that Wii's games library is primarly made of mediocre games..
