I concur with DOC. I'm not a shooter fan, I don't see how they could place the FF label onto this game!

Well Final Fantasy X is one of the best RPG games to be released for the PS2 and also, in my opinion, one of Square-Enix best titles for the Final Fantasy Series. This game has everything that you would want in a Final Fantasy Game and also as an RPG which is a must have. A few thing for you to know.

Graphics - Really good even for today. The Graphcs for Final Fantasy X still beable a lot of other great titles, Graphically wise which is Pretty good for a game these days.

Gameplay - The Gameplay is amazing but can feel a little repetitive at times if you stay in the same area for too long, but on that note, it can be enjoyable too.

Storyline - Probably one of the best Storylines to date for a game and also an RPG. The Storyline really makes the game worth advancing in (while playing) and it keeps you playing for a long time. Even when you have completed Final Fantasy X, the Storyline can keep you playing it over and over which is why i love it so much.

Characters/Characters Backgrounds - Well the Characters, in my opinion, are pretty Cool. I like most of them but a lot of people hate a few of them for reasons that they just wont explain on. The Characters are a Major part of the Storyline which i have explain on so you can see where this is heading. The Backgrounds of the Characters are also great and interesting.

Sub Quests/Missions - Well they can be really enjoyable if you want to spend a little more time on the game instead of just completing it straight through. The Sub Quests/Missions can be reallyTime consuming so you would have to be a little patient to really enjoy them.

There is just so much more to the game that i could explain but the real decision is up to you. But take it from a Final Fantasy Junky (My Username), the game is one of the best games to ever be released. From a gamers point of view, it is a good game to have in your collection as well as your RPG Collection.

Have fun if you get it. You have a 95% chance of liking it. This is the percentage that i ahve worked out.

Just a word of warning: It is a pretty linear game. It's mainly all a straight forward path until late in the game.

......That's actually really well thought out! I wouldn't mind playing FF like that.

But the only FF game coming out on it is a Crystal Chronicles game, so unless they change the fighting system.

I don't know about this. If you can say yes to all 5 of those criteria, you are a fanatic of Final Fantasy, not just a fan. A fan should be able to like the series, but you can't say to them, "NO! You're not a Final Fantasy fan because you don't have a few of the harder-to-get FF's and you play other games!"

I consider myself a fan, because I love the games and I will almost always go out and buy the next FF. I made phone calls all around my city (Adelaide, Australia) just to get my hands on a copy of FFVII. PS1 games are almost impossible to get here now, so most of the other, old, FF's will be beyond my reach, but I still like the games for what they are; fun and a challenge.

As for Square milking there old, and new, games for all their worth, I don't really mind, as long as the quality of the games is still very high. FFX-2 was a bit of a downer, but I still enjoyed it, because it was a follow-on to my favourite game, FFX.

As long as FFXII, FFXIII and its spinoffs are good, then I'll buy'em.

I'm in Sydney Australia, and I haven't seen a ps1 game anywhere that isn't a shop like Cash Converters (For people who don't know, a store where you sell your stuff for less than they're supposed to be worth... Yet they don't claim this. :P )

I agree with the rest too, but FF X-2 was good, I don't see why people give it such bad hype.
