Super Bowl 44

What a great game the Super Bowl was, I told everybody that asked me to make my pick I told them I want the Saints but I thought that the Colts will win. Well I was wrong, The 2nd quater on to the end of the game was all Saints, the onside kick call was a great call that started to change the game then the int happend and the game was over at that point when with Payton Manning the Colts didn't have enough time.

MLL All Star Game

The All Star game in Denver was what I thought it was going to be I was at the game and it was a blast to go to. Before the game even started the players were running around with the fans it was amazing to see how big some of the players were. The game it self saw some record breaking and during the skills competition at half time a record was tied. At the end of the first quarter the West had a 6-1 lead over the East. Coming into the game the East were 3 ½ goal favorites...well that doesn't look like that going to be like that anymore. In the 2nd quarter the Eastern Division tried to come back as they scored 5 goals but...the West scored 6 goals again as the West lead 12-6 at the half. At half time the skills competition stared with a new competition called the 2 pt shot, as the players will take 3 shots 2 white balls and 1 orange ball as the white ball is one point and the orange ball is 2 points and the player who has the most points win the competition and the winner was Jake Byrne from the San Francisco Dragons in 2 overtimes. Next up was the hardest shot and the record is 109 mph set in 2004. Defending champ was Denver Outlaw Brain Langtry well he didn't win it this year as Anthony Kelly from the Los Angeles Riptide tied the record twice with both his shots going 109 mph. The last thing was what is called freestyle it was trick shots and Chazz Woodson won it by jumping over two kids and shooting behind his back and making the shot. Stephen Berger has the funniest shot has he was carried by two team mates and then dropped on his head at the end, Matt Danowski also had an amazing shot as he jumped up and put his stick between his legs and twisted it behind his back and scored. That was half time now on the 3rd quarter were a record was broken and the record was most goal in one period were the West put 12 goals in the net were the end of the 3rd the score was 24-11 West. 4th quarter was fun to watch with about 5 minutes left 2 players started dancing on the field during the game, and another record was broken as the West finished the game with 31 total goals as the final score was 31-15 in front of 10 plus people. Have a chance to go to a lacrosse All Star game GO!!!

MLL Week 9

Week 9 started with Philadelphia in New Jersey has the Pride are hoping to finish the season strong but that didn't happen this week as the Barrage beat the Pride 16-11. League leading scorer John Grant Jr. from Rochester was injured this week and Matt Danowski from New Jersey will be his replacement. The next game is Denver at Los Angeles as the Riptide beat the Outlaws 16-6 as the Outlaws tide a franchise record for least amount of goals in one game, as a Denver Outlaws fan I have noticed that the Outlaws have a problem playing on the road and can play really well at home as they are undefeated as of right now but have only one win on the road. Next up is the battle of the worst team in West as the Chicago Machine and the San Francisco Dragons battled it out in the felid as the San Fran Dragons beat the Machine 17-14. Boston is trying to make a push to win the Eastern Division as they beat Long Island 13-12 by a last second goal by John Christmas as he dunked it over the goalie; the pass was over 60 yards and landed right in Christmas stick. The last game before the All Star game was Rochester home against Washington and the Rattlers beat the Bay Hawks to the ground 19-6. Here are the Standings.

MLL Week 8

Major League Lacrosse week 8 started off with a huge upset as the New Jersey Pride defeated the 5 game winning streak Long Island Lizards 26-20. Up next was the Philadelphia Barrage and the Boston Cannons 16-14 in Boston. The 3rd of 4 games this week was a game that saw a new attendance record as the Denver Outlaws hosted the San Francisco Dragons and Denver became the first team with 6 wins as they beat San Fran 10-9 the new attendance record is 20,164 people the old record was set last year in Denver as it was est. 19,400 people. The final game of the week was the Los Angeles Riptide was in Chicago and beat the Machine 18-16. Now I get to talk about the game, the Denver San Fran game was on July 4th and I will go on and saw and I know this is true I was at the game and people seating around me were complaining the game was taking to long and they were their just for the fireworks I will say more than 15,000 people just there for the fireworks, now on the game the people who watched the game witnessed the two best face off guys in the league and a face off in the 3rd quarter took at least 3-4 minutes and that may not sound long but it is and both players where trying to get the ball lose and the ball never moved it was one of the best thing I ever saw at a outdoor lax game. Here are the standings.

Barrage 5-3

Long Island 5-3

Boston 4-3

Washington 3-4

New Jersey 3-4

Long Island is a on remarkable winning streak 5 straight games with a W, the Lizards beat the New Jersey Pride 16-9. And the final game of the Week Denver is at Chicago and the young Chicago beat the Denver Outlaws 16-13. Major Leauge Lacrosse Week 6

Big week in the MLL, starting in the x if you will was the Boston Cannons vs. the away Washington Bay hawks final score was 14-12 Boston. First overall pick Paul Rabil scored 3 goals in the first half and ended the game with 5 goals and a helper. Next was the red hot Denver Outlaws hosting the Chicago Machine for the second time this season, going in to the game Denver had a undefeated home record and Chicago always plays the Outlaws tough but Denver won on a two point shot by Jeff Sonke with 13 seconds left in the game final score was 15-13. Last week I made a mistake as I said the Long Island Lizards won their fourth game in a row well that happen this week as the beat the Los Angeles Riptide 19-18, so now the Lizards are on a four game winning streak. The Rochester Rattlers after dropping 2 in a row beat the Philadelphia Barrage 20-17. After starting the season winless the New Jersey Pride after the draft are now on a two game winning streak as they beat the San Francisco Dragons 10-7, two things about this game: 1. 7 goals are very low in the game of lacrosse indoor or outdoor 2. Watch out for the NJ Pride they will be a tough team to beat in the soon years, I'm going on record and saying that they are going to miss the playoffs this year but will have a great season next year and as I said before watch out for the Pride. Check out the Standings from this week.

The New Jersey Pride are still looking for their first win of the season as they had a hard time putting the ball in the net as they lost 8-17 to the away team Boston Cannons. The Denver Outlaws proved that they can now win in Los Angeles as they beat the Riptide 16-13. The only game that went into overtime this week was the San Francisco Dragons and the Chicago Machine as the Dragons won on their home field. Rochester faced their first lost of the season as the Washington Bayhawks beat the Rattlers 14-11, and that was week 4 now on the week 5.

Major League Lacrosse week 3 came and gone and this is who won and lost, Denver Outlaws over the New Jersey Pride 19-11. Los Angeles Riptide over San Francisco Dragons 17-13. Long Island Lizards over Boston Cannons 20-19 in overtime. Rochester Rattlers over Philadelphia Barrage 22-9. And the last game of the week Washington Bayhawks over the Chicago Machine 18-14. In the second time ever the New Jersey Pride and the Denver Outlaws played and the Pride had the lead only once in the game and that was at 1-0 and then the Outlaws took the lead and never looked back. Major League Lacrosse Week 2

The first game of week 2 was on May 23 with Rochester and Boston. Boston had the lead up until the forth quarter and then John Grant Jr. took over the game, in the forth quarter Grant Jr. had 3 defenders on him and took a shot behind his back a scored a goal, it was one of the best shots I have ever seen before. The next game was the Denver Outlaws was in the Washington DC and took on the Washington Bayhawks and the winner was the home team the Bayhawks 17-16, that game was a shot out but had defense also so all in all it was a great and fun game to watch. The third of four games were the two time defending champs winning their second game and have a record of 2-0. The Long Island Lizards and the Philadelphia Barrage played a tough game and the final score was Long Island 12 Philadelphia 18. And the last game to finish week 2 was a western division battle were the Chicago Machine went to Los Angeles Riptide and lost in a tough game to lose the Riptide gave up 9 goals and they scored 10 so that is week 2.
