I couldn't sleep last nighta t around 1:30, so i stayed up till 3 playin gDawn of Sorrow. It seems pretty interesting, very detailed sprites, but this dash attack sittnig where the attack button used to be is kinda weird and will take some gettin gused to. So far i killed the first two bosses with out breakign a sweat (figuritivly), i'm hopign the difficulty gets steeper later in the game.propyro

Unfortunately, it won't get harder.  For me some early bosses were harder than some late bosses ... I don't want to spoil anything for you so I won't give any details.  Probably beacsue of all the stuff you get late in the game.

If I may suggest something (if you want the game to be a bit more challenging), try not to collect all the souls rigth now.  I mean, beat the game once and then you may try to find all the souls.  I tell you this because some souls make you way too powerful and some others let you have the best weapons in the game thru the "weapon synthesis" systeme.

In memory of SotN,  I try to beat the game with the starting equipment and soul on easy mode.  So far so good, but there is this boss I can't beat with the knife ... maybe I will try to beat the game whitout any souls instead.  I had this idea also to try the Resident Evil mode; only firearms are allowed ... maybe later.

I was sad when I learned that one of my favorite Castlevania is in fact a "port".  Some levels were completely redesigned, the quality of the graphics were considerably lowered, and many other elements were completely taken out of the game.

Where did you get Dracula X: Rondo of Blood ?

I think what made me like this game back in 1998 was Alucard (which is his father's  name in reverse ... but you knew it).

There is a kind of cloud of mistery surounding him.  He is quick (does he draw that sword fast enough ?), can do a lot more moves and he is more powerful than most character in previous Castlevania game, which is a bad thing for us as some people pointed out.

It is like going thru a Castlevania game playing as fully equiped Dracula with standard Hell Fire (3 fireball), teleport and his branded laugh "Ha ha ha !" (Which was most the most annoying thing ever heard when you die for the 25893 times because you didn't see that fireball comming ... damnit).  There would be no challenge at all.

That an idea for a new Castlevania game ... Dracula wakes up after 100 years and just feels bored so he say to himself : "Ha man ... boring ... I will go kill all my minions while waiting for a Belmont to come and kill me".  But that another story.

I would say Super Castlevania 4 or Dracula X.  I will put Dracula X first.  As for the new title ... Symphony of the Night followed closely by Dawn of Sorrow.
