The visuals in WoW are cartoony, so its fine if it doesnt have the best graphics. The visuals in WAR are realistic (trying to be realistic), so its not fine if the grpahics arent the best. Hopefully you will understand what I'm saying.

Also, when in 2008 is it comming out?

In WoW, you are forced to Raid beyond a point. The best gear is simply to be obtained by raiding. PvP is rumored to be an option, which is more or less true.

In WAR, you are force to RvR beyond a point. Raiding is rumored to be an option and nobody can say if it will be true or not.

- If you want to do neither Raiding or RvR/PvP

- If the whole path of progression matters a LOT to you (from start to the end)

- If dreaming of been the BEST at grouping/soloing is important to you

Then, neither game is for you. They are both arguably a lot more friendly toward the casuals, toward the groupers, toward the core gamers than other MMOs. But, they are not dedicated totally to the CORE gameplay (PvE-grouping) on any server and/or race. Thereby, no person which take grouping in PvE seriously should consider either game...unless they also enjoys RvR or Raiding. If you just want to play casually...sure...but if you start liking the game and start taking it seriously (the game is designed to make that happen), you ain't casual anymore...and if you don't like RvR/Raiding, then you will HATE these games which resolves about 80% of the time about PvE-grouping without allowing you total fullfillment in it.

Anofalye

When I was playing WoW I was around a 35 and I felt as though mostly all the game was PvE and I was even playing in a PvP server. I really am looking for more of a PvP/RvR feeling where the focus is around actually killing the other fraction instead of A.I. So is WAR the way to go if thats what I'm looking for.

I have the same feeling. I to worry that the game will start out slow or never really start at all compared to WoW standards becuase of the gravitational pull WoW has on many of its players. But does anyone want to do a in-depth compare and contrast of both of the games?

I start playing WoW during the spring when I have time, and I was just wondering if I should switch over to Warhammer online. I know not much can be said for WH Online since it has not yet came out, but I need to know if I should go ahead and pay for WoW and start racking up my character. I however am looking for a game that is more fraction vs. fraction rather than just quest that are PvE. So if anyone has any useful knowledge or an opinion on the game please reply.
