The idea is that kids shouldn't be deprived of a healthy diet because of their shitty parents. (As for it being a 'serious issue' - people see it not so much as a serious issue in and of itself, but as a good example of what they find obnoxious about Thatcherism.)[QUOTE="MannyDelgado"][QUOTE="leviathan91"]
This is the dumbest thing I've heard yet. :| Parents usually pay for their children's meals usually through checks or cash. I don't know how they do things in Britain but getting rid of free milk is laughable and what's even more laughable is how this is a serious issue.

They're not being deprived, they just have to pay for it. This is totally different from civil rights. This still isn't a good reason to bash Thatcher. Perhaps the poll tax or the sluggish economy can be pinned on Thatcher (though by the looks of it, it's not all Thatcher's fault), but ending free milk isn't.
Also there's a thing called self-responsibility.
Right, so you are suggesting that we should demand that primary school kids pay for the school milk themselves. What about my comment was so dumb, then?Reddit is by far the worst community on the internet, even taking 4chons into account.GummiRaccoonDAE sci[ent]ist?
There's also lots of sexual repression there too.[QUOTE="-Sun_Tzu-"][QUOTE="kingkong0124"]
Heard lots of cute girls go there.

Oh yeah, it's so horrible here. They actually try and teach us morals instead of having classes about how to help woman get a better orgasm.
Seriously, I like BYU just fine not just because I'm mormon, but because the tuition is cheap and affordable, unlike most universities. Had I gone to University of Houston in my home town, it would have cost $8000 a semester. At BYU or BYU-Idaho more specifically, it only costs me $2000 a semester. I won't have to graduate with a mountain of debt unlike graduates from other schools.
And yes, there are lots of cute girls here who don't waste their beauty in alcohol and drugs and aren't full of venereal dieseases.
And please, if your comment isn't related to weight lifting, don't comment.
So you don't feel at all patronised by the fact that you, a grown man, are being told exactly what is the correct moral worldview to conform to by a bunch of puritanical lunatics?[QUOTE="MannyDelgado"]>BYU isn't that that retarded Mormon excuse for a university?Mithrandir50Manny. Spewing intolerance since 2012;D
you know it!

Being mormon doesn't necessarily make it a bad school
I don't necessarily disagree, but it does make it a worse school than it would otherwise be, and also a much more boring school than it would otherwise be.(Although having said that, I wonder what they teach about evolutionary biology)
Heard lots of cute girls go there.kingkong0124Lots of cute girls who do not intend to have sex before marriage, presumably D;
Damn right. Those schoolkids should get a real job and pay for their milk themselves.[QUOTE="MannyDelgado"][QUOTE="john_doe2"]
It's called the entitlement mentality. People think that they shouldn't have to pay for things that they can easily pay for by themselves.
