[QUOTE="MansonProjekt"]

please i need to know. i have $390 and yeah, the refurbished one is $350.

Nothing really, Exept it might be scratched or not as good condition, But the PS3 will sooner or later get scratched. But you can just save up 10$ more and get a brand new PS3.

what are the drawbacks

i want something that will keep me entertained. i was looking at Assassins Creed, but everyone seems to be bashing its repetition. is that them being lazy, or what? is it because it was overhyped. and Call Of Duty 4 looks really good, i dont know. i think i may go with Oblivion, but i need something to keep me entertained till the end of the month when i get more money for some more games. so i want some awesome, time consuming games. maybe a little online multiplayer. that always keeps me hooked. =]

I have a 40GB PS3, and i love it.

The main differences I see are that there are 2 USB ports, no media card compartment, and no backwards compatibility.

-The 2 USB ports are fine if you only plan on using the controllers. But if you want to setup a mouse and keyboard interface, 6 is better. No need to worry about using a USB slot for a headset, since the PS3 has bluetooth.

-I have a PS2, so the lack of backwards compatibility really doesn't matter to me (graphics are comparable on either systems for PS2 games)

-And the lack of the media card compartment is no hassle, seeing as how you can put any files (pics, movies, etc..) from an SD card onto your computer, then onto a USB flash drive for quick transfers.

thank you so much!

thats what i needed. and your right. i forgot about the bluetooth headsets. awesome.

any game recomendationss?

MGS3: Subsistance

it was the BEST in terms of the online mode. but it got cancelled off.

so i would have to say MGS1. because it is so innovative, to this day i dont think..anymore games can completely drag you into a game like that, and the characters. MEMORABLE. i mean to this day i still remember Praying Mantas and The Raven. but MGS2 was amazing in the respect that it brought in alot of politics and philosophy. and MGS3 was important that it broke away from the industrial feel of the first two, and placed you in a jungle enviorment. and the characters were so amazing also in that game, deff. gonna be remembering how much i dreaded facing off with The End. that was truely an iconic Sniper battle. a deff. highlight of the game. so yeah, they are all great.

now if you include the AC!D series, the first AC!D was good. but the second wasnt up to par. maybe it was the change in coloring, it just looked to toonish.

so AC!D 2. was the worst in the series. but it doesnt even fall in the MGS time line so. it doesnt count. =]
