I'd have to say yes due to its games, HOWEVER some of the games are way to complex and good for a child to play let alone understand a good example would be Hotel Dusk which is just a great game! It kinda' is but its also not, Its like the Wii its not just for children or adults its meant for both (Its a two player or more console) Its boring when you play on you're own and I guess its in a way the same with a DS... its hard to say really. The DS Can be played by all and any however unlike the Wii the selection of games are probably less appealing to more adults thus the DS is played by a lot of children. Meah.
By Far, Final Fantasy IV My Favorite Final Fantasy next to FF7 that is ^_^ I think Square Enix did a nice job with Final Fantasy III & IV on the DS I only wish it'd come to the PSP as well (Because FF1/2 just wasn't enough!)
